14/11/2014 11:47 | Interesting, I just bought 6264 more shares which didn't show but it went immediately into auction????? | woodpeckers
14/11/2014 10:19 | Catch 22 for Iofina. They can't say funding for water is off the table while any talks for potential JVs are ongoing. That would weaken their negotiations. Or they could decide to go it alone and form a separate water entity. Interesting times | captain_kurt
14/11/2014 10:11 | "but not that it would drop like a stone again. But volumes are tiny, it's down to PI nerves" Hmmm... I think it's down to Banksy reducing his buying from 50 to 45 to 40 to 35... You do realise he's the only significant buyer here, don't you? | arlington chetwynd talbot
14/11/2014 10:09 | ammons Once more I think he may be right. Katt The moment they mentioned potential funding for water would always create a void. Not fear of a price drop but funds rubbing hands together (and the broker) as that's what they always want. That was timed with many funds hitting trouble but not just in small caps, the first thing they do is reduce risk across the board and then small illiquid shares are abandoned re interest for them. If any are looking at IOF then it's a win win situation either shares via dilution (unlikely) or IOF link up with a big company which adds a lot of security for those wishing to invest. Option X could be to just sell the water business entirely which would mean large lump of cash making the iodine business very strong. The objection period will either end up with the permit awarded within 3 weeks, or if there is an objection it will be awarded later. The objection criteria is identical to what has already been over-turned in the hearing. So if the water bureau agreed most points were passed, and the 2 they challenged reversed, then what hope has Mr ordinary of providing substantial evidence to prove otherwise, and what incentive is there to do so. The fact is the water permit affects no one in relation to extracting water from the Missouri. It's just too big, the entire Bakken use amounts to 1.5 days of flow. If they are in talks re water, I hope they mention it in any strategic review they release. | superg1
14/11/2014 09:36 | Thank you freshvoice, genuinely. | ammons
14/11/2014 09:31 | I did think share price would drift down after the 'no-monthly-update' announcement but not that it would drop like a stone again. But volumes are tiny, it's down to PI nerves, there's no reason to think it's due to inside info. Keep calm and carry on. | kattatogaru
14/11/2014 09:19 | ammons You don't have to speak to the company, broker or anyone connected to the company to have a fair idea what is going on in any share. As stated before if anyone of us lived in OK than it would be easy to monitor how each plant is doing. In the good old days you went to the pub to find out all the gossip. The web increased the pub to millions of options. I use those options and will continue to do so on various shares. The one thing I have never done on this one is contact the water bureau, you can find out all you need to know without ever going near them. EG I tracked Tomco for a while and had comms with a guy based in the US who knew the company very well. Then a company in Algeria where the guy I had comms with often drank a beer or two with the drilling supervisor. TBH if one had the time and wanted to be proactive on that front, it would be easy to find out what is happening on most shares. | superg1
14/11/2014 09:19 | Ammons How about The highest production of any month to date? | freshvoice
14/11/2014 09:07 | Thanks SG, I think your analysis is correct re materiality of October output for an RNS i.e. only a significant undershoot would require an update. I'll just have to be patient I guess. | kattatogaru
14/11/2014 09:02 | Katt No need to report on track, they would if exceeding/not meeting the guidance by a margin Guidance 325 to 350 with 216mt reported. 36.3 mt needed per month to hit the low end and 44.6mt to hit the high end. From presentations it was suggested they had hit exit rates in September that cover that amount very well. If they are in that range, then no need to report anything. They would have known by now whether they would miss the low end as the period is half way through. | superg1
14/11/2014 08:59 | I would but the company have better things to do than respond to zillions of emails and phone calls. Simple correction by the poster would suffice. Clearly the poster doesn't want to so I will leave it at that. | ammons
14/11/2014 08:56 | Ammons I agree with you, grammatically it is worthless. I don't think that's what fresh meant to type though. Instead of having a spat on here, why don't you simply ask IOF to confirm if October production was a monthly record to date? | naphar
14/11/2014 08:53 | Katt not if it simply means that they are on track to meet the revised annual target. It's more likely, imo, they would have needed to announce a poor month as that would have probably required a reduction in annual target again. | naphar
14/11/2014 08:46 | Katt, They have stated they are confident of meeting year end targets, what more do you need? | che7win
14/11/2014 08:45 | SG1, freshvoice 13 Nov'14 - 19:31 - 26674 of 26704 3 0 Don't panic. It is a fact that the production in October was a record for the month. If you don,t believe it contact the company. ================== What is right about that? Record for ANY month at all, ever or record for any October month? "Fact" fresh calls it. Meaningless if you ask me. | ammons
14/11/2014 08:32 | Fresh post 26674 - if record production in Oct is true, surely that is material information that should not be withheld, given the requirement for a turnaround? | kattatogaru
14/11/2014 08:31 | Thanks ACT | wizard2020
14/11/2014 08:15 | 33p is 50% down from the peak after the April plunge... could it be 'the bottom'? Touch wood... | cyberbub
14/11/2014 08:06 | ammons I think fresh is probably right. DYOR | superg1
14/11/2014 07:59 | red herring for iofina, reduced fracking means more Iodine production imo | captain_kurt
14/11/2014 07:58 | I should imagine it is heads down at HQ, planning and talking with interested parties and maybe even the Japs.the share price should move on up when we receive the next rns | rogerbridge
14/11/2014 07:56 | Perhaps $80 will prove to be a floor on the oil price. Just as long as it stays low enough to stop Putin re-forming the USSR which he seems hell bent on. But high enough to mean plenty of new oil wells in OK. GLA | 1madmarky
14/11/2014 06:22 | Yeah, right fresh! | ammons |
