Cheers che.

RSI now at 20, momentum dropping, this is gonna rebound soon. With interrims probably 10 days away and a probably no vote regarding scottish independance on thursday, any rise should be sustained through to results. Fingers crossed mind.

The fact that we have a "delayed" monthly update is probably because IOF would rather spare the time and cost of multiple RNS's and do it all in one go with the interrims.

The wider market issues (scotland, Ukraine etc) is making it look like the market is selling off, but actually i think its more to do with the fact that people aren't sure about buying whilst the uncertainty remains. The current selling isnt dramatic, daily volumes appear "normal", it looks to me that there just arent as many buyers ready to absorb the sells as we would normally expect, given the prospect of good news around the corner.

News will be good, im sure, if H1 comes out near profitable given the first few months were poor re iodine production, plus decent production figs, plus anything exciting regarding water or offtake agreements, we should start to see the long overdue steady rise in the share price, as it was a few years back when the share price rose 25p to 250p. Very interesting, following traders in Chicago, London etc in different markets, and the psychology of trading :-)

Personally I thought todays dip was a good time to buy some more. :-)

Whether that's the right call or not doesn't matter, it's a decision and down to individual choice.

Enteq Upstream(NTQ),an oil services co.specialising in measuring while drilling tools,is worth a look imo.Mkt.cap. £19.2m,cash £11.5m,experienced management (previously successful with Sondex),directors buying and a positive update from the AGM last week.Seems like there's been a large seller in the market for while so could be due a bounce.Good write up by Private Punter in the Cambridge News.good bb.I think it's undervalued and worth a cursory glance.jj,holder.

I'm not spinning, I'm not the one with knickers and in a funny order each time the price moves.

They said regular updates, they are releasing regular updates.

Some placed bets with money they don't have, hoping to hit good news of 40mt for Aug and 1.7 MT per day at a date and time they wanted it released. Time ran out for them and they took a loss with no choice, others choose to sell.

The majority PIs sell on falls and buy on rises, nothing changes.

The TA folk have a good rule as they try to play the chart and buy on the dips selling on the spikes. TA guys don't buy on spikes unless it's what they consider to be a confirmed break out, they don't buy on dips if it breaks below their expected bounce point.

What is it now, about a $15 mill MC dip on news we have no idea about. It could be 40 mt, it could be more, it could be 30, so $1.5 mill for every mt missed in 1 month. That all makes sense doesn't it. ???

There is no point trying to make sense of the SP, I've tried that on many shares and have given up.

One small company with good reason chats rather casually about it's products already out there being worth 10 times it's current MC. They seem to have a good point, but no one is buying it.

Then I look at another with what I consider to have nothing with an MC over £40m.

I think the bear crew called Naibu a false company. Simon Cawkwell thought he'd have a punt long, it's crashed.

My old fave confusing share keeps marching on upwards, with losses forever climbing. ???

It's a funny old game.

Well well! The return of netley.
I'm in rsa on diamond business but it looks like round 2 of relieving some people of cheap shares ...
The company hasn't reported yet but a single months production is of no interest to me .

Been out all day. My post this morning was I fear correct. Super g you have done a great job here but your post re normal service is not one of your best. If you ie Iofina say that you are going to do something then you do it - if you are reverting to normal service you say so well ahead.Clarity is all particularly with the track record of this stock. I am a long term holder and have been for years - I don't trade actively but do manage actively. I do expect the Board to manage investor expectations with clarity hence my post this morning and I fear the reaction today.

Are those two 200k share trades ordinary trades or they are trades between market makers. I use ADVFN mobile and doesn't show what kind of trade they are.

Lower dips is fine for a top up Fest, that's what a buyer would want.

After being here so long, it doesn't take too much to work out who are traders , who gamble on short term news without the cash to cover, and so on.

I doubt little of the 'activity' has anything to do with news. It went up near 40% with a poor July figure eventually released.

At that time there was a big buyer who took about 1 mill shares.

The Scottish issue dominates the short term, and the not so small matter of the middle East of course, and eastern Europe.

Meanwhile IOF chem div is on it's month in month near record sales, at a time when the iodine price is way below the previous record month.

All gone quiet re the water news, it could come any day, it could be months away.

The next piece of bad news here is merely a continuum of a very predictable journey towards de-listing. There maybe just one more funding round, if you're lucky. The lender of last resort may just give you all time for an orderly exit. Thank him.

If we see a poor production update, after being given 40mt as 'guidance', then you will have a much lower dip for your 'top ups' than this!Like Che7win, I hate to see these wild swings, and if it's because someone knows something we don't, then it stinks. The share price is too low for me to bother selling anyway, so let's see what comes out.

Patience fellers, This stock is going to see many more wild swings until it's a proven business. If you believe in the business, then top up whilst the going is good, but it's going to be at least a year until the fog clears.

This drop is disappointing but I held during the 50% intraday drop in April (and bought more) so I am not selling now. The business case is compelling and, unlike the previous lot, I have faith in the current management to deliver...NAI

I agree that production trending upwards is key, but a sudden drop here is 9/10 a precursor to an unwanted surprise!I'll be hanging tight regardless but it doesn't feel too good.
