12/6/2013 10:46 | Tried to buy at 217p, but couldn't get a quote. I have a feeling this bad news will be given a soothing balm of good news at the AGM. Today was chosen for a reason. | worraps
12/6/2013 10:46 | Crazy Looking at the changes. There are about 20 or 30 what Lance did on his own 1 year ago. Hence my comments back then 'that the guy is a machine'. I wouldn't be surprised if burn out is a contributing factor, I'm not saying it is, there is clearly an underlying medical issue. I can see Uriney now hovering over those but buttons, as the news makes not one jot of difference to the performance on it's way. The immediate view is what's happening with io3 to 6, Chris Fay has already spelt that out. IOF have a growing team with more arriving and a new CEO on the way. The doubt about Lance is now out there. I wish him well. | superg1
12/6/2013 10:44 | just added 8,935 at 2.23p......buy the dips... | orslega
12/6/2013 10:44 | Haha, looks like CR couldn't resist a pop. Interesting he said nothing about Nano looking toppy. | captain_kurt
12/6/2013 10:36 | che7win 12 Jun'13 - 10:17 - 1602 of 1611 1 0 Crazycoops, A bit OTT, he as been in the back seat a while. I'm not sure which part of my post you felt was a bit strong but the market (especially IIs) dislike uncertainty. An executive team covering for a temporary leave of absence is different from hiring a new CEO. But like I said, Lance has done a great job of putting the building blocks in place and will still be around to advise the new CEO. They will need to make a decent hire to move the business forward and execute the business plan (one would hope the board are well connected and with the great prospects, it shouldn't be too hard to entice the right calibre of person). | crazycoops
12/6/2013 10:34 | Best wishes to Lance. He is remaining in a consultancy capacity......still good, he'll still be around. He wouldn't have wanted this, any more than us, but the foundations of IOF are laid, and the rest of the team will be fully able to continue all that Lance has prepared. | worraps
12/6/2013 10:33 | Good posts guys. We knew the symptoms and hoped it was nothing bad, I sincerely hope it is nothing serious. Yes Jeff at the presentation did seem to be doubtful about his return, but no surprise. Clearly he is not up to full CEO health, and he is still going to be there supporting. On the plus side, check out this management team, which he is shown as non exec. I understand there Board meetings are in Hawaii, so while not fit enough for full CEO, he is keeping his fingers in pie's. | superg1
12/6/2013 10:32 | All the best to Lance. (Went to Ibiza in April and he went ill - share price fell. In Rhodes now and he's resigned - share price fall. I'm not going away again I seem to jinx him!) | sandbag
12/6/2013 10:31 | You can ask his directly Dig...Lance will be at the AGM | captain_kurt
12/6/2013 10:31 | Massive blow. | n3tleylucas
12/6/2013 10:30 | Some pre AGM trading statement shopping | captain_kurt
12/6/2013 10:29 | I wish Lance a healthy recovery,he has transformed a number of people's lives on this board. | florence10
12/6/2013 10:27 | Waiting for the share price to settle and then off shopping. Uriney | uriney
12/6/2013 10:27 | Superg, Your post is a timely reminder of the expanding team in IOF, no one person should be indispensable and I suppose this is just another stepping stone the company must negotiate. | che7win
12/6/2013 10:26 | Very sorry to hear about Lance. Wish him and his family all the best. | nicklad1968
12/6/2013 10:26 | I hope whatever his illness is he makes a full receovery over time and I wish him and him family well. Uriney | uriney
12/6/2013 10:25 | Not sure if Lance reads this thread but would also like to wish him and his family all the best | field3
12/6/2013 10:25 | A rather important matter to discuss, I hope he is keeping his shares?? | diggulden
12/6/2013 10:25 | clearly a more serious medical condition than most thought - wish Lance and his family well. | orslega
12/6/2013 10:24 | sorry about the news, but it is still the same company, same prospects, he same guys running the company with advice from lance when it is needed | neddo
12/6/2013 10:22 | It is unfortunate, however, Dr Faye has indicated clearly in the last few weeks that the rollout is going forward on track, the aims have not changed, we will still leave this year as the largest US producer of Iodine. The drop was priced in on the initial stepping down announcement, we might see a little re-trace, but with the AGM next week, I expect the share price to remain pretty solid. Wishing Lance and his family all the best. | diggulden
12/6/2013 10:21 | Yes shame. But as the news says he has put all the building blocks in place, proved the tech and business model. I hear he is likely to be coming to the AGM so you can chat to him there, for those attending. The changes make no difference to the business model and profitability, that ball is rolling and gathering pace as I'm sure will be reflected at the AGM. Before anyone asks I have no idea what his illness is. | superg1
12/6/2013 10:18 | I can't see him going far, and I think in a way JP prepared us for this if you remember the dialogue. | chumbo
12/6/2013 10:17 | Crazycoops, A bit OTT, he as been in the back seat a while. | che7win
12/6/2013 10:17 | Hope he is ok. | greenroom78 |
