10/6/2013 18:15 | Just to clarify IOF suggested about 3 months and said Q3 | ![]() superg1
10/6/2013 18:13 | Fresh It's so hard for me to say anything without some jumping on it, hence I am careful what to post. ITM is on my list as a long term one to watch. I noticed some news this am, and the price didn't move, chart wise it seemed to be at the bottom, and the market didn't seem to realise the potential of the news. Normally good news means exit, but it was in a trough not a crest. So I bought some and sold this afternoon, for a quick trade. I'd love to have mentioned it, but know what happened last time re ATUK so chose not to. On the water, if you look historically through applications they take many months to get to deficiency letters or other aspects of the process. However this was at a time when it didn't really matter on timings. Since the boom it does. I found reports of demand for extra staff for the water bureau's etc with the inference being that things would speed up to serve the boom. Montana and ND have brought in emergency measures to embrace the boom, ND in particular have lot's of illegal water extraction. There is now some evidence of of urgency on more recent applications. One went from application correct, to determination to grant rights in just 4 days, but had taken a few months to get to application correct. I'm not suggesting IOF's won't take the 3 month time line. I have no details or digging that would suggest that won't happen, I was just making a general comment having looked at many historical applications. | ![]() superg1
10/6/2013 16:53 | Yeah superg, thought there was a fast track process in place, changed your mind have you? | the librarian
10/6/2013 16:39 | SG I thought you said water should be in three months, now you say 'many months'? Why has changed or is it just a differentwayof expressing things? | freshvoice
10/6/2013 16:22 | CK I see you mention water and the permit. Two options now that indicate progression to award the permit. The first is obvious..... determination to grant. The second would be 'deficiency letter sent' I.E. a change in the details to be made before approval etc. It can take many months to get to either point. I've looked at many applications. Any entry at least means they are actively dealing with it. | ![]() superg1
10/6/2013 16:19 | I hear some completely poking in the dark, think IOF is like PDX. That's probably due to them being well underwater on shorts and clutching at straws. I'm not sure when they saw PDX but I was turning it inside out back in early 2009 and at 50p, I looked at it thoroughly, but thought it was a Jam tomorrow share with lot's to prove. When it took off and kept going to those dizzy heights, it just looked impossibly over-priced. I must say those lot are spot on as over the next 6 months or so I think IOF will go from £2.40 to £7 just like PDX did. The difference is IOF can actually justify that price, if they deliver on 6 lucrative producing plants, by the end of the year. I think they will. So great call, they are saying IOF will be £7 near term, so best buy some sharpish. lol. I fully agree with the view on the price surge coming, but not the circs that PDX had, you see IOF will actually be making large profits with 6 plants running. Metals are not so hot right now, but other resources are and the market I believe has started to notice. Don't forget those SQM analysts, (Merril, credit suisse and others) that raved about how safe Iodine was as part of the SQM business. Safe of course, until 'new entrants' steam in with rapid expansion, and much lower capex and opex. | ![]() superg1
10/6/2013 16:11 | Charting is beautiful, don't believe me? Just watch a few good ones, you will be astonished. Promise. | n3tleylucas
10/6/2013 16:07 | spike I am not pedantic. I wrote as I had understood it from a previous poster I am happy to stand corrected re the spec for IO#3. Perhaps if it is the titanium version that would explain the irritating 3-month lateness. In the long run that's irrelevant. | ![]() scrutable
10/6/2013 16:03 | This is a proper chart or at least one that has a degree of comprehesion without words. I don't have time right now but I'll come back later with some thoughts. And before anyone says charts are a waste of time check my post on the tipster thread where I predicted with the aid of a chart that IGas would bottom retrace to fill a gap at 97p last Friday. I'm pretty sure Lib happened to be monitoring at the time . . . Anyway, the chart above mine is about as much use as a chocolate tea pot! added: - And no I'm not telling what my indicators are in the lower graph. | johncsimpson

10/6/2013 12:20 | rogerbridge, I read the article thinking what better way to play the US shale revolution than being in IOF... Zak Mir's post proves that fundamentals outweighed his charting when he said sell in the 180's if I can remember correctly. | ![]() che7win
10/6/2013 11:51 | Sorry about that. It went on to suggest one U.S.company Kinder Morgan, who have 180 terminals and 37,000 miles of pipelines. Profits up by 80% last year and trades on a pe of 30. With IOF profits set to explode, a forward pe of 15 sounds rather cheap. | ![]() rogerbridge
10/6/2013 11:47 | Regarding valuation of IOF. There was an email today from Money Morning, suggesting that one way to play the US shale play is to invest in either US petrochemical companies or those that transport the oil and gas through their pipelines. | ![]() rogerbridge
