15/4/2014 19:37 | Mrbeavers exactly. The 4.5M he has sold were NOT in the last 2 days, they were sold sometime after he quit as CEO (ie. no longer had to declare buys and sells) and before he has come back as chairman. The notification of still holding 4.5M is simply part of the declarations that every incoming director has to make, what other directorships they hold etc.And I suspect that you are right, his sales will have been to cover his medical bills and at the end of the day maybe just take some reward for his hard work for several years... after all it sounds like he had a nasty health shock of some sort and he may have thought it wise to cash in. Would anyone on this board be able to swear they would hold on to every single one of their shares in every conceivable circumstance??!!Howe | cyberbub
15/4/2014 19:23 | We don't know if he has sold any. It might be he has passed on half of his investment company (which I believe held the 9m) to his wife for estate planning purposes etc. That would mean he now only has a beneficial holding in 4.5m with his family having the beneficial holding in the other 4.5m for instance. I don't think he would have had to notify such a transaction when he was not a director, because the investment company would not have changed its holdings. I could be way off the mark of course. | naphar
15/4/2014 19:15 | Guys he had 9 million shares care of his holding company as stated in the financial results for the year ending dec 31st 2012 as released in May last year so at some point he's sold half. As he stood down as a director in the company on health grounds shortly after I guess he can do what he wants but if he sold at £2.50 that's an awful lot of medical expenses covered! | mrbeavers
15/4/2014 19:00 | Distant memory but didn't GL get assigned some shares or options by a transfer of entitlement within IOF? | engelo
15/4/2014 18:51 | 4.5m is still a significant number of shares - agreed. Under AIM rules a shareholder is obliged to notify the market if the holding crosses 3% or any whole percentage above that within 2 working days, so presumably the sale was very recent. | zendo102
15/4/2014 18:48 | that sends a worrying message if LB,the newly appointed chairman, has sold half his holdings in the company | micknickbanny

15/4/2014 18:43 | 4.5m shares is still plenty skin in the game IMO... why shouldn't he sell some to support his needs just like the rest of us... is he expected to take them to his grave? | cyberbub

15/4/2014 17:02 | The chances of Mr Big getting this right are dwindling daily whilst the chances of Shonny getting it right are steadily increasing. It'll still be nearer 50p than £1 when he gets back from his cruise and probably by the 10th of June as well. There's still the poor results to come and take another chunk out of the share price | shonny
15/4/2014 16:17 | The low-tech solution to the email problem is to mark them as junk mail. that way they stay out of your inbox. | malachey
