15/4/2014 07:58 | from proactive investors. "Iodine producer Iofina (LON:IOF) is firmer after it revealed it has commissioned its fourth and fifth iodine producing plants in the US following approval from the federal regulatory authorities. The company is not letting the grass grow under its feet, with chief executive and president George Lantz revealing Iofina's production teams have already started full-scale production at both plants." | jointer13
14/4/2014 23:50 | Well, despite recent jitters I am now feeling much more secure in my holding in IOF. The two cornerstones I was waiting for have been cemented into place. Those being, Lance Baller's official re-involvement in the business, and IO4 and IO5 online and producing Iodine. That is enough for me for now, and yes, I know we are about to be hammered on poor 2013 results. Water has never been at the forefront of my thinking, and mini's or mobiles will come when they come..... but they WILL come. After months of selling some of my holding and buying back, (with limited success) I have decided to look at the daily movements much less often and simply let it ride. | festario
14/4/2014 22:42 | Despite the intraday action, it seems that 70p has held as the official close price, like it did the last couple of days of falls. If the Dow correction is over for now (which is by no means certain of course), might we start to see a bit of support in the upper 60s - 70p region? Clearly some people will have bailed at 80p last week worrying about the results, but we all know they will be disappointing so it should be in the price IMO. A stream of positive (but not hyped) confidence building statements like the last couple of RNSes should start to see us heading northwards again, touch wood.GLA NAI | cyberbub
14/4/2014 22:35 | From the 2014 presentation. Road Ahead 2014 Iofina plc Recognized as leading integrated provider of iodine and iodine chemical derivatives Increased revenue and margins Iofina Resources Increase iodine production IO#4 and IO#5 online in Q1 IO#6 online in summer Install mobile units at strategic locations Build prilling unit Ramp up sales of raw iodine Iofina Chemical Increase derivative production Add production shifts as necessary Add additional production capacity if required Increase derivatives sales New markets Expand partnerships to utilize Iofina's production and manufacturing integration Iofina -Well Positioned for the Future Growth company with a unique model for producing a resource with a limited global supply Partnered with major and financially stable independent oil and gas companies Low cost iodine producer Chilean producers' costs increasing due to water, energy and labour Vertically integrated Iodine production and iodine chemical derivatives manufacturer Patented and patent pending proprietary technology Extracting iodine located at the injection site from brine co-produced with oil and gas Upside potential on water resource and deep shale rights Not included in forecasts All this is why I bought to hold. | angel of the north
14/4/2014 22:28 | Acty - you have found a game changer. Well done for getting in at 50p. What else are you able to share with us guys that have been in for a while at much higher prices? What other game changers are you looking at or have bought into? | peterz
14/4/2014 22:16 | Been following the rise and fall in my search for stocks which are 'game changing' and pleased to be on board since the 50s. Good update this morning and I'm in the nearer to 100 camp by mid June :)Hope all you long termers hold on and recoup losses/extend your profits. | actybod
14/4/2014 21:12 | Ukraine has 5% of the worlds titanium reserves and their currency has fallen around 50% in the last year so export prices 'should' fall. Probably still more expensive than GRP. | serratia
14/4/2014 20:47 | Tthey have two suppliers of GRP towers IO5 and IO6 | freshvoicem
14/4/2014 19:08 | Spike, my notes state that some custom titanium parts are still made in the Ukraine, however scratch that if the parts are actually the pumps which you mention. | bogg1e
14/4/2014 18:54 | Great to have the 2 new plants running. Now we just need them to focus on much improved iodine production in Q2. Any guesses for just how poor Q1 production was?I'm going for jan/feb them producing 0.5t per day due to the weather and 1t per day in March. So quarter total of 60mt. | monty panesar
14/4/2014 18:54 | No more titanium towers from the Ukraine, current GRP towers were manufactured by Strand in Arkansas. THe pumps etc which originally were sourced from Eastern Europe are now also built in the USA. Cheers - Mike | spike_1
14/4/2014 18:44 | I wondered if the pause was in part to asses the GRP tower before building more. Not sure which one used it or if it was locally sourced | count chris
14/4/2014 18:06 | Does anyone know if IOF are still dependent on titanium towers or other components delivered from Ukraine, or is everything locally sourced now? | obbig60

14/4/2014 16:02 | IOF isn't improving though and not likely to either. Back to the fifties I reckon. More mugs sucked in here by the Mr Big hype. Will they ever learn? I guess not | shonny
14/4/2014 16:00 | The DOW is improving, now. (sorry...wrong thread) | mclellan
