Hi superg1

With reference to the Atlantis Field that the web site states:

The Group has acquired lease rights to produce both iodine, co-produced water and natural gas at the Atlantis Field. To date the Group has acquired approximately c.290,000 acres. In addition, the Group owns a thirty four miles of pipelines and has 34 wells. The pipeline is already ultimately linked to the TransCanada pipeline system, offering Iofina access to national gas markets.

Are these 34 wells old exploratory wells and if so has anything ever been extracted from them that could be deemed commercial?

I see some demand news.

I assume they have missed the last few releases. No news is good news here, even good news looks bad to some, they love to tease us with good news buried in expanded negatives (some irrelevant).

Not up to speed on PR and city understanding is the sentence ringing in my ears, when I asked post arrival of the new BOD. How true was that.

Added a few more to my pile this morning.
Could only afford an extra 5000, price I got 74.8p.
Let's see how that turns out.

I liked Che7win's comment though, it would be great to be investing here for the first time today. (sniff)

IMO still not much required to turn this company. A statement that no fund raising will be required would have an instant effect. Then the management just need to at least give the impression of some control and produce some informed estimates. At the moment, any ppm, production, revenue figures produced by anyone just come across as guesses and so investment is reduced to a gamble on unverified data.

Too much gloom in a manageable situation that can be fixed.

This company does have some wide intraday swings.....I had a quick look at the charts and it looks like they can be 5-6%

Spike,
that is safe to assume, I expect higher...

I take your point because it depends on where they locate the future plants, there is a location where THEY ARE ALL 250ppm plus.

Last post from me.

What I have posted above is my true conviction and not without finding answers.

I have followed up on parts of the Numis note, I understand where the management are coming from in IOF, so I am aware of both sides of the picture.

The underplaying of prospects is evident, I guess the strategy was to ensure expectations being surpassed.

1. I am confident that 4.7p EPS significantly underplays the situation, the company will beat that.

I am confident that the note has deliberately left out certain efforts the company is making, one example - there is no mention of mobile units. I expect a few mobile units this year deployed to high PPM areas.

2. Another example from the note, the PPM rates Numis use is 120 ppm of iodine in the brine streams.

I expect from following up on this that we have much, much higher PPM concentrations. I mention IoChem, they have 300-400 PPM concentrations.
I expect double the PPM that Numis give, some plants will be operating on 250 PPM plus and 30,000. Indeed, some areas have 45,000 supply available.

3. IOF pricing for raw iodine (without sublimation), I expect we can sell in the low 40's (40 to 44), higher than the $38.5 mark I assumed after reading the report.

4. Raw iodine sales: not a main concern anymore for me, watch this space.
Our Chemical division is using around 30MT per month.

The company needs to have 80 - 100 MT to get sales from large customers with any of these customers capable of taking 3 lots in any given month.

5. I am confident management are addressing their short comings, please remember it's a young business.

I think we can do a much higher EPS than the Numis note, I am confident that this businses is a 200p per share business, hopefully within the year.

Exciting future ahead, just a pity I was invested one year too early. Well done to those buying now, you've got a bargain IMHO.

DYOR.

Mol. I believe you did get a bargain, it is hard to always find the bottom, but long term we have a solid company which will eventually yield us profit.

You have to laugh....I thought I had a bargain when I bought in the mid 80s last week. Expected a quick bounce and here we are now....short term sentiment I think.

an overreaction is an understatement.

as has been talked on these boards over the years...what a hard thing iodine is to get your head around. some pi's don't understand, some brokers don't understand it..lol.

but at the end of the day understand it or not....the plants are getting built and coming on line....pure money machines.
and we have the patents for them.
the future can only be good.
lets hope we don't get t.o.
