Looks like MM's might have used the fear factor well this morning, have seen this happen before, sell off first thing, gather loads of shares, then watch the buyers flood in. Blatant manipulation.

barkboo - no advice intended but I am expecting another serious windfall here - like blinkx - but as you know I'm the patient investor type - you and I will remember when sentiment, shorting, botched broker notes (remember Goldman Sach, jeez) lack of news etc etc crippled blinkx share price - but the fundamentals were always there and we all know what happened - 20+ bagger. Am not saying 20 bagger here but I do believe Iofina will prove to one of those investment opportunities that don't come along very often...

...we'll see.....

I'll say this, our competitors are eyeing us up, they are keeping a close eye on our plant rollout so they are aware of what IOF are up to.

I think they value the business higher than shareholders, we are a sitting duck.

Right now, management have killed off the potential upside, a £2 takeover would probably be successful which is a shame.
However, they know what needs doing, so patience.

How anyone can sell now with:

1: an iodine business that is making sales and WILL sell the raw iodine...
2: a potential water non-core business that could deliver 8p EPS over a full year....worth more than the current share price

I really am baffled, we are the lowest cost producer in the world, we have a patented process that ensures no-one can replicate our prices unless they do what Woodward do and operate their own extraction site.
A competitive advantage sitting for a take out.

Even Numis has 4.7p EPS this year, but forecast 50% growth next year. I know that their figures underplay significantly.

Even a mild P/E of 20 on the core business would mean 94p, but I reckon we will do more than that.

On every value metric I use, this is a bargain....

This is now a trading share it will take months before it stabilizes, to many PI's holding huge losses.

Hey Orslega!I hope you're right. I recall you and BCD talking about IOF a long time and I put it on my watch list. I jumped in yesterday at 76p in a small way and have some more cash at the ready today. Mistakes have been made but it seems like an overreaction and it would've rude if me not to take advantage ;-)Best of luck!

Well then Shonny, lead the way. If you're confident of 50p I don't suppose a £50k SB is beyond your capability. Post me privately proof.

added 12,127 at 70.96p earlier.......

imo that (and with other buys 79p - 85p range) will look a huge steal once IOF get their act together......the current share price has no bearing on the potential, even Numis bungled note agrees with that.......crazy....been there before, nerve and patience needed....

"Any offer would have to be reasonable."

If a TO is at a 50% premium to the current SP, sadly I think it would be taken, under the present news vacuum. With jobs for the boys

From a technical level the chart doesn't look great chaps:

I've got 66p as long term fib support, 50p as a psychological level then 44p.

Good luck all.

Any offer would have to be reasonable. If it's too cheap it could cause a bun fight, which for the shareholders could be a good thing.

Any TO will be at a premium to what it is right now.

Best time to buy IMHO - when the herd are snivelling into their hankies.

Well there appears to be an air of capitulation out there....

Certainly management have failed to deliver and I suspect that changes will occur there over time. Little point in bleating about it now. They can recover some credibility but it will take time. Now they need to get their heads down and get things working.
