13/12/2013 13:08 | Thanks Coco, I mean EWCT. | ![]() diggulden
13/12/2013 13:07 | Looks like this could drop further and retest the £1. I feel for the guys that paid much higher than this due to the ramping of this share on this board. I believe some where paying over £2 and it was banded about that £2 was cheap and still a bargain buy certain posters. Where are they now? decided not to post today? Good luck to the ones that got sucked in by them, I hope you can hold tight and don't need the money for Xmas. | readthismessagen0w
13/12/2013 12:57 | Che7win - noted. Thanks. | writz
13/12/2013 12:55 | Frog, Good post. Writz, sorry I can't answer your question. At this price, there is no value given for water. Best to wait for the company to respond. | ![]() che7win
13/12/2013 12:48 | fwiw with the share price dropping back this far it is worth noting that there is a historic gap circa 102p from last january still to fill !! | ![]() cocorico2009
13/12/2013 12:41 | Ok, digg, thanks. Trouble is, for those of us who bought so much higher....this IS a collapse! I can only imagine that this water permit denial is over something extremely trivial, it doesn't make alot of sense otherwise, after so much confidence expressed about obtaining it. | ![]() worraps
13/12/2013 12:40 | Thank goodness I didnt invest in RSA, but IOF | ![]() escapetohome
13/12/2013 12:35 | Worraps, I doubt IOF will RNS today, not unless the share price collapses. It will be news to them regarding the water permit, so I expect they will be trying to find out what has gone wrong. | ![]() diggulden
13/12/2013 12:33 | Sorry just further on that. Surely they could say something like. "Once the towers are in our possession we estimate it will take a further "X" weeks to achieve productive output of io4 and "y" weeks from io5." After all have they learned a lot from io3 or not Its better to know the worst absolutely than just guess at it | baguette
13/12/2013 12:31 | Is it possible that if there is an RNS, it won't be until USA time? | ![]() worraps
13/12/2013 12:31 | True Fest. As mentioned above, provided lead times etc are resolved, the plant roll out (which i have downgraded in my notes to 6 per year from a possible 12) is still impressive enough to ensure phenomenal expansion over the coming years. Im sure also that when the final plan designs have been tweaked, crews and staff and bedded in, better manufacturer lead times etc, that they will be putting in more than 6 plants per year, plus the mini plants, plus IOC expansion. The future looks fantastic. However one thing i mentioned with Netters after lances resignation, is that until really firm news emerges which matches the bullishness of a year or so ago, IOF will remain a traders share. Personally by March, it will be a strong investment case again and the share price will eventually climb to new highs. | bogg1e
13/12/2013 12:26 | Fest You say 3 more imminent. The problem is that none of us really knows how far down the build process of io 4 & 5 they were before the tower delays was announced. We also have to wonder how long it takes to "reassess the site of io6. I for one have lost confidence in the genuineness of the excuses we are given again and again for delays. One good reasonably comprehensive update outlining the following could turn this ship round quite significantly:- 1. When could io4 & 5 truly be expected to be operational. 2. What is the decision re io6 and what does that mean for its timings 3. What are the output figures for io1,2,3 If you or I were in charge of this company with the share price antics we are seeing, would we issue an RNS with as positive news as possible - absolutely yes. If they cannot produce one that is very worrying. | baguette
13/12/2013 12:17 | I'm not spooked Bogg1e, in my mind I have written off the Water revenue ever coming to IOF. Just forget it. In fact, to be honest it has been going on so long that I had a niggling feeling it wasn't going to happen. Perhaps some politicians got their noses in the trough? Money and power games perhaps? The share price has been hit hard for that today, so anything which does happen on that front will be a large boost. But just tell your self it isn't going to happen. However, what IS happening is that Iodine is being produced from 3 plants, and 3 more production plants are imminent. The world has a voracious appetite for Iodine, which is growing, and the worlds largest producers are finding it harder to produce it. On that basis, and not withstanding any bad news, I have just raided my (wife's) piggy-bank and added more shares on that little dip at 123p. | ![]() festario
13/12/2013 12:14 | frog1 I don't know what your investment size is, but surely you can't buy any more on this chart? I mean, one just wouldn't. | randolph and mortimer
13/12/2013 12:11 | Che7win - a few posts back you mentioned re the water application: "I hear it was close". If that information is in the public domain, I'm sure other investors would appreciate some help finding the source. TIA. | writz
13/12/2013 12:03 | Joe, im a bit spooked though. In theory the authorities had up to the end of january to resolve any impediments in the application before making a preliminary decision. I dont know the ins and outs of how it works, so perhaps they can amend any small issues and reapply before end january, so until a final decision is concluded the whole subject is best ignored in terms of IOFs potential value, which is iodine driven anyway. | bogg1e
13/12/2013 11:58 | Bogg1e I do not think IOF are to blame and they may only have been notified of the decision today and I hope they clarify as much as possible before issuing any rns. | ![]() joeblogg2
13/12/2013 11:51 | joe, frequently the information published is available to the public via web services before the company receive an official response, so i dont think its the BoD being "leaky" for example. | bogg1e
13/12/2013 11:47 | Joe, b, i understand what you are saying. My view is nothing has changed, the company is still going in the right direction so why sell on lows if your losing out when in twelve months everything may/will look different. Investors will choose the best way to invest, whether spread bets/shares etc etc, if they get caught out or sell on loses then unfortunatly its the investors decision. Phoenix, i fully agree, time will tell. | ![]() noli
13/12/2013 11:47 | Anyone watching for a reply from the water authorities, which was first noticed late last night on the publicly available government web site. | bogg1e
13/12/2013 11:45 | Also of course the shorters have had a field day over the last few days which no doubt contributed to the volatility. | ![]() joeblogg2
13/12/2013 11:42 | Given the drop over the past few days makes one wonder if the water news leaked out earlier than appears? I wonder to whom? | freshvoice
13/12/2013 11:39 | noli. not institutions but pi's panic selling on s/bets, selling shares as they have more to lose and it hurts when you see the losses so it is natural to sell. | ![]() joeblogg2 |
