Personally, I'd think the IO2 news would be the first to arrive.

Mind you, I'm guessing! Just like everyone else.

Dig: I don't know if our posts crossed but am I off-beam with 3846? Surely that's the most immediate priospect?

Jamonit, they did state that chem contracts will not be RNS'd unless of significant value.

If you are looking for RNS's short term, here is what could be with us in the next 4 weeks.

New CEO appointment. Very much expected short term and will add much needed stability here. I would presume a new CEO would mean director purchase of shares also, hopefully.

Montana Water update. This could happen any time between now and up to 8 weeks from now.

IO3 is probably 6-8 weeks away from commissioning although we may be surprised on that one.

EDIT....

One major one I missed off. I am fully expected IOF to update the market when the new brine is connected to IO2, which should result in a production upgrade. That could happen tomorrow, or a couple of weeks from now, but I do expect it to be RNS'd.

I wonder if we can expect an announcement soon re IO2 producing on greater ppm's and barrelage, assuming this would qualify as immediate RNS material. Could just be the tonic we need to put this choppy period behind us. Until that or similar happens it's just a case of extracting the positives and taking opportunities as they arise.

give the man a break - superg may just have other things to do other than monitor this board 24/7.

Winton - waste of space - writes on every fourth line like schoolkid trying to kid everyone he's done lots of work. Filtered

yump - boring fact-less comments. Filtered.

Both blacks, not blues.
Should be a red card, not yellow!

superg, I thought the idea of having this moderated thread was to moderate ridiculous posts/posters like those coming from winton today. He isn't a premium user and he isn's adding any value to the discussion.

Note to all - you are better off filtering such posts rather than replying to them.

All my shares are paid for, so no need to worry. Going out to a meeting and will look to see how we are doing later. Day to day up's and downs come and go, but the fundamentals and prospects have not changed. Not being frightened out of my shares by traders who know nothing about IOF. If you are selling shares, they have to be bought back at sometime. Anyone who sells at this level needs their head looking at. But that is just my opinion.

Sure I saw a post the other day that stated USA imports of IOD are 6,000MT p.a.

By my reckoning that could be IOF's output based on 12 functioning plants at FY14 annualised exit rates of production .

I love how the shorters arrive en mass once the share price has already gone down! Hindsight is a wonderful thing eh...

Markets are weak at the moment, going to be a choppy couple of months I suspect.

IO3 should be online and producing hopefully within the next 8 weeks, that's the next major milestone for the company as the technology is further proved and the production capability is de-risked.

150p should be the bottom, hopefully we never see it again.

Sense coming back means realisation that the upside at this price outweighs the downside. Unfortunately the fall has given some traders short term profits which means more volatility.

For some reason this reminds me of the stoning in the Life of Brian:
To paraphrase John Cleese...

"Are there any short-termers here ?"

Florence, not sure you should be filtering The Articulate, his panic and desperation is very comforting and entertaining to see, as the share price ticks up and up after this mornings feeble shorting attempt

"As a matter of fact at the AGM last week Lance did actually say 'under the radar'.
Best wishes - Mike"

Oh ! Not a lot I can say to that, although I suppose if this many investors can put 2&2 together, then their competitors can as well.

Up and F11 FWIW 75% of my holding is ordinary shares and the 25% through IG as a SB is all covered by equity down to 0.What I was saying was to try and avoid a potential snowball like we saw the other day.Regardless of whether SB or O shares people can still have stop losses triggered....Lib with you all the way - fully functioning io3 makes these prices look silly....

Your comment shows you know absolutely nothing about this company. Oh, and anyone who calls someone 'son' (who is not their offspring) is an ignorant oik.
