SG if they can't release a statement as its true they don't want to let the cat out of the bag tell them to get their hands in their pockets and buy some shares .A substantial director purchase at these levels would do much to calm the nerves.I don't think it was ever answered if they are In a lock out period or not. If they can buy shares then get em in !

Can't help wondering how Lance is feeling. Having put so much in to this company he must be very disappointed to witness this uncalled for drop in the share price. I'd be surprised if he isn't very involved in discussions with a view to restoring confidence.

kristini2, I heard something similar from my contact at Spreadex. Further, the guy at Spreadex said there were many that couldn't meet the margin calls perpuating the downward spiral.

The gearing on SB/CFD is very attractive and it's easy for one to get carried away including me but I was fortunate to have funds. I really feel for those that lost today. Hope we recover soon but it could be months.

edit: I haven't sold a single share despite sitting on a thumping paper loss

Well any potential acquirer would be making moves now due to the depressed price and market volatility.

To be truthful SG, i think they will, it maybe before they want to but the pressure of investors comments at the agm and days like today may force their hand. I would rather wait until iof are ready but if they give us some detailed info so be it.

I do see sg is a bit quiet odd post.

There is no point posting 300 posts around, but I did pots a few times.

As I can say the business side of it is very good. We can't control what the market does.

Yes many will have exited today by choice or margin calls, but then others (have posted) see it as a bargain shopping time.

We'll just have to wait to see what IOF say, but for me the plant situation on potential production is higher than I thought, with 50k units now mentioned too.

So just a case of seeing if IOF now open up on what they have.

With news of io3&4, possibly water news and patent, this should move up again pretty quickly with the few number of shares in issue. If anyone has been thinking of buying in or adding this presents a good opportunity - I can understand jitters though with current overall market sentiment. I am more inclined to go with Sg's figures of 500mt given what they have said about cherry picking the best sites for installation of units. A verification of anywhere near those figures by the company will set the share price alight again.

skylite, superg, Lib, noli......thanks, a bit of comeraderie can go a long way at times like this. And I hope all at the Somerset Arms / Cheltenham, can find solace in the usual way tonight!! Wish I was joining you, but I've got a bottle or two lined up here to be going on with.

Thanks for that....can't reply as I'm a non 'bluey'. Agree with all you say, and comforted that I'm not alone with my shock. Good luck with your trip, and let's hope we're through this dark place soon.

It has been suggested that the volatility was caused by a margin call on a large spread bet position ?

Not sure, however the person suggesting this is a smart guy who works in the city and is of the view that he may buy more stock tommorrow. This individual holds the paper, my suggestion to him was that based upon the price action today the stock looks a sell !

Not to much to say really as it's all been said, we are just waiting for the rollout to continue.

As for todays drop, i dont think we can blame iof, we had no problems when we were going up to £2.50 with the under the radar comments so why now. Ok the rns could have had a little more meat on the bones and much better wording but that has not caused todays fall in full.

Overall its just investors who panicked seeing paper losses/margin calls/cfd's, but that's the stock market and we all know shares rise and fall. We will recover from today's fall in the near future.

I am not concerned with today or tomorrows share price, i am here for the long haul, we would all like to hear the meat from the management but if we have to wait a few months then so be it, iof will do whats right for the company and if that means they still have further items to tie up before the cat comes out of the bag then that's the way it should be. I really wouldn't like iof to be forced into an rns that lets all see what they have before they are ready, it could mean a loss in the future to us all should things not be signed and sealed and a bid arrives should we recieve one.

If they do not superg1 I fear the outcome will be a cheap takeover which is the last thing we want right now.
Ironically the very thing they have been trying to avoid!

Sam Huebner As you have posted you are obviously watching this BB. please advise the Board to be more precise about who is in daily control of what. Dr Fay was non-exec chairman and is now Exec chairman. With all due respect that can still be perceived as a long way from the management of the daily issues. AIM companies often frighten people because they are a one man band. When Lance was President CEO and Secretary I still had a bit of concern when I invested about 3 months ago but he was supported by some very powerful non- execs. Maybe what we need is to feel there are some other characters involved in the plot on a daily basis while waiting for a new CEO is being appointed (and after). Is ther a structure of responsibility or a black hole.

For one PI I will feel much happier when the current feeling of a vacuum has gone - its easy to imagine a level of non-progress waiting for the appointment - this may not be the case but wooly statements like "we are heads down working on it" is not enough to allay the market nervousness.

Best of luck

skasher094: have your last two posts been poetry? They sound rather good! My wife and I have just started writing poetry. She's a lot better than I am, but we both find it to be a very fulfilling pastime (sorry, O/T).

What's to say that hasn't been said by us all already. We've been mugged but it's a skirmish in a long campaign.

As somebody pointed out, it's the AIM and it can get choppy. It doesn't change what Iofina will do though and if anything comes from this it should be the need to get the correct and factual information out into the marketplace asap.

There's not one holder from the Somerset bar one who got his position closed who has sold one share today. Balls of steel in Cheltenham Spa. lol.

Been out worraps, shocking the movement in the price, both down and back up, nothing to add on the posts here really, just a bit of patience required. We know the story and it has provided a good buying opportunity.
