24/6/2013 16:05 | Iofina are vulnerable both to short sellers and to investors taking profits at a time when markets are weak until they can say that they have actually used the iodine they have produced(not just stacked it up in jars)and sold it and have produced the expected full amount from IO2 and got 3 & 4 up and running. Potential doesn't wash these days.Or it soon wears thin if not continually implemented. | ![]() mikkydhu
24/6/2013 15:57 | Well, so here we are, now down 50% on the projected price for end of June, of £3. Of course, that was before the resignation of Lance, L & G offloading, and the downplayed AGM RNS. But, that was last Wednesday. Have we actually come to any logical conclusions as to why this huge drop today? I know lots have come up with suggestions, but is there anything definate to go on? I am utterly bemused. Nothing about the company and it's future has changed whatsoever, so what has happened today is just insane. Can't make any sense of it at all. Absolutely gobsmacked. | ![]() worraps
24/6/2013 15:43 | jamonit, sorry but i checked out your area and there isnt anyone i could recommend. I am sorry about that. | ![]() bogg1e
24/6/2013 15:02 | Really thought this would be immune to any shenanigans and the rest of the market but today everything has conspired to destroy the value here. Looks like a lot of people would have had their Sb's closed and with the sharp downturn they have not taken any prisoners!! | ![]() joeblogg2
24/6/2013 14:59 | wayneduncan you haven't done your arithmetic very well. What do think the company profits will be at the end of 2014/ and at the of 2015? What do you think that the first water licence is worth? What is the company worth when making £90-£150m/pa in 2014 from 12 plants commissioned and doubling that in the following year? How much will it be making pa when 100 or 200 plants are operating? How can you hold the shares when you don't know the answers? Or are you short? | ![]() scrutable
24/6/2013 14:55 | uppompeii: because of the CFD didn't understand the maths of the OM RNS. Presumably a CFD could be positive or negative? OM now hold less than 5% so was it in fact a sell? edit reread: I'm wrong, was a buy. | engelo
24/6/2013 14:55 | TFC someone did today. | ![]() superg1
24/6/2013 14:49 | Sorry Nev, I blame the 3G signal at the allotment. | ansana
24/6/2013 14:41 | Scrutable, good point. I couldn't believe to imagine that these could be taken out for less than £400m, but that could now be a danger unless some positive rns's appear. We don't want to be stuck around these levels for too long that's for sure. | ![]() bobbyshilling
24/6/2013 14:38 | superg1, Hardly last of the big spenders, Old Mutual! 33,300 more shares Oh, and 145,700 on a CFD! We may get another RNS soon saying that they bought during today's mayhem! TFC | ![]() the fat controller
24/6/2013 14:36 | OM added on 21st. On a CFD. | ![]() uppompeii
24/6/2013 14:33 | Just spotted the RNS Old Mutual top up, good news there Ansana It was me who asked where you were not warmsun lol | nevmyers
24/6/2013 14:30 | that wont be the last holdings RNS we see over the next few weeks. A couple of funds are already rubbing their hands. PI's losses are II's gains - as always. | croc8
24/6/2013 14:27 | I see Old Mutual have bought more (rns). I heard 2 are buying at the mo, especially today. | ![]() superg1
24/6/2013 14:23 | Great opportunity this morning, classic case of panic followed by margin calls accelerating things. Tough to pick the bottom. But the story hasn't changed so once calm is restored we'll be back above £2. Only 13% down now. Doubt will end up on the day will have to wait for few days for calm to restore for that. | ![]() octopus100
24/6/2013 14:21 | It is desperately important that IOF produce a trading update re water and IO#2 rise in performance, as well as transforming news re IO#3 ppm and mammoth production expected. Otherwise they will now be taken out for £3.00 - £3.50 | ![]() scrutable
24/6/2013 14:18 | I just snapped up another 12,000,at 166p but I missed the great bargains before lunch as I could not keep the 3G signal required on my iphone. Of course I was a worried man at 115p, I've never actually seen anything quite like it. I would never have dared buy at that level just in case it was the road to ruin. But in the high 130's I was tearing my few remaining wisps of hair out. Now, lets see some sense return to this share. | ![]() festario
24/6/2013 14:16 | Warmsum, I am here, I didn't consider it wise to post in case I added to anyones anxiety. I have added 9400ish this morning. Anyway IMO the company is sound but wakey wakey IOF board you have lost a load of money as well this morning. | ansana
24/6/2013 14:11 | Well I topped up again (I think this is my 6th tranche) at these bargain, give-away prices. Long term, only one way these are going IMHO. | ![]() soggy
24/6/2013 14:10 | dnair28, lol, I'll correct. thanks. | ![]() che7win
24/6/2013 14:05 | che7win - I'd refrain from calling them Ipods, just in case Apple thinks we are the next Samsung! | ![]() dnair28 |
