naphar - Dr CF struck me as an incredibly experienced operations guy but not someone to be presenting too investors. We need a new market savvy CEO that can excite institutions. Just my thoughts of course

Very possible Sky, this Chris was also not impressed by the tone of the RNSs it seemed to me.

Naphar - it may well be the same HL broker who got a flea in his ear from a couple of the guys here in the Somerset. Both have fairly largish holdings in Iof through the HL wealth management desk, both invested £2+ and neither have been particularly impressed with the tone and wording of Iofina's RNSs.

I would like to have heard more about their cash position from the AGM reports.
I asked about how they will fund the 3 Water Pumping Stations earlier, but no one responded.
Cash is king and roll out of plants is capital hungry.
I should be more informed, I know, but I didn't get the sense that much was revealed about cash yesterday.
Did I miss something?
I know I should have gone and got the answers I wanted, but a family loss made it impossible.

re Prill. The raw iodine the curerently produce is called "cake", or "mud" by some. Others would be able to explain better, (and you can search for prill on the old thread and find the detailed answer), but prill is a more refined, IIRC purer form. Prill is the form often sold on the open market, but the cake can also be sold to third parties. They would need to invest in a plant (prill tower?) to turn the cake into prill form. Ironically, many production processes cannot use the prill, they have to turn it back into cake, hence there is also a market for the cake.

I think I overheard CF saying he was going to talk to an institution, but no-one asked if he was doing presentations during the meeting, maybe someone asked afterwards.
IIRC, Lance was flying back to US today, but no idea ont he itinerary of the other directors.

Malachey I asked last night, writs earlier on and as no one has replied I assume not. I suppose they could be involved in 1:1 meetings with interested parties. I can't believe they have come all this way and nothing is going on.

malachey......several people have now asked that question, re presentations, but no-one who attended the AGM appears to know the answer.

As Ansana has pointed out, it would be very inefficient of the board to fly over here just for an AGM, without making even greater use of their time while they're here!

Thanks to all for the agm reports.

Bit of a shock to see the share price going in the wrong direction for once, but as a long term holder it doesn't concern me too much. Actually, while were sub 200p I'm hoping we drop a little more and get that gap filled. As Coco (I think it was Coco) said, that will help to strengthen our share price

The only question a haven't read an answer to thus far is what the IOF team are up to now - ie. are they doing a run of presentations while here or not???

Just as an example of course .

What if io2 to 4 up to speed created 1500 mt in the market.

They said Iof chem div could go to 800mt they a 1600mt iodine cake market, then after that prill sector.

that's 0 to 60 in 1.7 secs in the iodine world re production.

Then wonder why my digging is done just looking at the short term roll out, then trying to second guess who will buy iof in the next 12 months.

Iof won't get to world number 1 I can see that now. They have the tech and contracts to do so. But their production acceleration potential is phenomenal.

You mention the business is so lucrative and that's why it's gone.

"Chris", sat at the front, works I believe for Hargreaves Lansdown, and has recommended IOF to high net worth investors if I understood correctly. In discussion at the end, just before we all left, it was obvious IMO that he is frustrated Iofina seem to be underplaying the reality of the situation.

my numbers refer to margins not revenues. For revenues add as a guess, an average $15/kg ( I wrote $10-50 value added according to product)

I repeat the key numbers:
At $60/kg/£36/kg and today's production of 700kg/day we are netting £7.56/pa to rise to £10.8m/pa on reaching CF's expectations of 1000kg/day for IO#1 +IO#2. By end Oct IO3 should be adding well above another 700kg/day - ie another £7.56m to add to the £10.8 - justifying a PE of AT LEAST X20 = £367m and a share price of 288p.

I no longer think Toyota or SQM. I'd even go as far as saying SQM will go too in time.

I tried to get to the bottom of ppm rumours as they sounded overly optimistic. Digging did the opposite and confirmed it.
