09/2/2015 20:00 | Superg1: many thanks for your great posts, including re the water hearing. It would seem that the objector is in effect fighting on at least three fronts: he is fighting against himself (his objection being in contradiction to his application), he is fighting against the water board (he has to prove his case and overturn their decision already made, so the onus is on him to prove that they are legally wrong), and he is fighting against an ex water board judge, who will be representing IOF. All on his own, without any legal representation. I think he'll be asking for something a little stronger than water by the time they've finished with him. | ![]() rhwillcoll

09/2/2015 19:01 | Oil now up 3.5%, I wonder if OPEC have done enough to scare off oil investment, they may be letting it rise/recover too quickly. | ![]() che7win
09/2/2015 17:59 | not even act , after all he doesn't know who he is, so how could he prove it was against him? | ![]() neddo
09/2/2015 17:38 | Neddo no-one seems to have the answer to that, Rules do state payment of hire of the building and other points and it doesn't make sense that IOF would have to cover that. I don't think it will be a lot anyway. | ![]() superg1
09/2/2015 17:29 | if this guy loses his objection will he have to cover iof expenses , plus the loss of time lost waiting for this case to be resolved??? | ![]() neddo
09/2/2015 17:27 | dc No idea and not too much of an issue (to me) overall considering the revenue they achieved with all the problems and price drop. They will have an inventory of some type to cover. EDIT With these low prices they may have switched off io1 or any other low producer for all I know (pure speculation). EG if io1 was costing 35 per kg re it's low levels and you have enough iodine, then turn the darn thing off. That's what they did when they found io5 was being run on a generator at $100,000 per month rental (io5 now has power). It all depends re their pricing through the chem div. | ![]() superg1
09/2/2015 17:10 | Super - any gut feel if Jan production was back at Oct/ Nov levels or if Dec fracking issues continued into Jan ? | ![]() dcgray21
09/2/2015 17:03 | Nice one super. Hopefully any shorters will fry as some of us did when the price collapsed. | ![]() joeblogg2
09/2/2015 16:52 | One snippet from the research and report on a topic he raises. His line from his objection in relation to beneficial use "The Atlantis Water Solutions service area is exaggerated" IOF list 5 counties. Carlisle in his application lists those 5 plus 3 more. IOF's service area claim covers a 50 mile radius. One of his letters of intent covers Blaine county 100's of miles away. Carlisle's service area in his application is bigger than the 18 he lists bar one. In that one, the rules that cover service areas are discussed in an email exchange between water bureau staff. So what did the bureau think for that LOI and it was the only LOI for that permit. LOI from Wildcat trucking (LOI 575 AF, permit 363 AF). Wildcat stated they have hauled water 150 miles in the past and will haul up to 300 miles for that permit. Email exchange records that there is no legislation for service areas and that it would fall under the general rule of ‘reasonable and believable information’. The letter was accepted as reasonable and believable and the permit was awarded. So back to Carlisle's point "The Atlantis Water Solutions service area is exaggerated" REALLY It's smaller than for his application which includes one LOI for Blaine county whose nearest point is 200 miles away. So everything about that is null and void, A permit exists with one LOI for 300 miles, and that can and probably will be produced as an exhibit. That's from wild cat who I believe have 12 trucks, Under those terms it would take them 45 days to supply one well at a cold water cost of around $20 per barrel. As you can see some applications are full of complete BS, as is this objection. I have made it very easy for IOF to find the information by suppling all permit numbers and pages in the archives that they need to refer to. That's includes the actual email content mentioned. So yes I think the permit will be awarded. I did before doing all that. Surely it's time for trolls to switch to another subject sharpish, if they haven't already. Please not the, 'Ahh the bond in 2017 you are all dead', it's getting rather boring. I can work out with little expense they can improve margins by about $6 mill per year without an iodine price rise. | ![]() superg1
09/2/2015 16:25 | Joe If IOF get the depot he is finished with his depot. It's a tin shed set up and isn't fit for the likes of Halliburton and co. As said before I understand he is not liked by customers or locals. He has 1200 acres plus worth $1 mill or more so no need for any tears for him should he lose out. | ![]() superg1
09/2/2015 16:12 | Super. if he goes through with the hearing will his licenses being affected or next time when they he tries to renew? | ![]() joeblogg2
09/2/2015 16:09 | I'll be adding too, I'm just waiting for a sign that the seller is near done. I thought they tailed off last week to make it look like they were done, with a renewed vigour at the start of this week should they have any left. I'm now just waiting to see if volumes are the same or less than the start of last week. Less and I'll assume the supply is dwindling. The above combined with watching out for any events. I don't quite know how hearings progress but I suspect he will be destroyed in minutes. He has to show facts and evidence yet nothing he listed seemed to be a fact or evidence. He is restricted to what he out in that objection and only the points deemed valid. The share price doesn't reflect the award of the permit and IMO it doesn't reflect the iodine business either so a fair bet and just timing imo. DYOR | ![]() superg1
09/2/2015 15:54 | He's certainly 5 or more pints short of a six pack! | ![]() bocker01
09/2/2015 15:49 | Bocker, I think one half of his personality is short and the other long, perhaps they cancel each other out, his heart isn't in it anymore lol. What a deluded plum, I suppose heartwell will scurry away as he usually does (always tail between legs)! | ![]() che7win
09/2/2015 15:45 | ACT's probably long now, for the news, but pride prevents disclosure. Hence reduced posts. Sneaky so and so! | ![]() bocker01
09/2/2015 15:38 | Poor heartwell, He's tried for a week, everything he's got to be negative here. Even his buddy/alter ego ACT has reluctantly put his spoke in, yet ACT is half hearted at this level. Surely he must now realise that this stock doesn't want to go down from here, not when the macro-economic events are painting better times ahead. One can only try so much to help the plums. | ![]() che7win
09/2/2015 15:32 | US light crude now up 3% on the day. To me, it feels like the oil price recovery is too fast to curtail fracking and non-opec oil producers production rates. The reason this was all engineered was to curtail non-OPEC investment in oil, that has worked better than OPEC expected. However, the last thing OPEC want is to kill off oil supply investment altogether to the point where there is an oil shortage in years to come and oil rises above $120. That would kill off the world economy, so I expect oil may slowly recover to $70-$80 where there is more of an equilibrium. Interesting times. | ![]() che7win
09/2/2015 15:22 | patrich I'll post the details I sent to IOF after the hearing date. Imo with no experience I could make him look foolish in that hearing. I suspect within about 3 minutes of questions to him, he will wish he'd never objected. Either he is making it up in his own application or making it up in the objection. I have checked the facts, his application facts are fine, his objection is full of false and misleading comments. He's up against an ex water court judge who is now a lawyer and IOF's lawyer. The topic that needs clarifying is one point which has been covered in detail before in the first hearing. | ![]() superg1
09/2/2015 15:21 | patrich "and then if he decides to appeal another 30 days.." What are you on about this is the bloody appeal (objection hearing). Where did you get 90 days to get answer? Source please. Another clueless nobhead. | roger melly
09/2/2015 15:17 | I wonder how many of those bears who hang around here like pigs in muck have actually made a profit out of the iof share price demise. Hopefully a few! Hands up girls/boys. | ![]() nellyb |
