09/2/2015 14:47 | Boggle, Agreed, this management is careful and shrewd and taking a mature approach. Some investors seem to need news every week, the company is showing maturity by having less frequency of updates. A bit of cold turkey for some, best in the long run. Careful management of cash is evident, I assume because of a combination of water application, iodine prices and oil prices. | ![]() che7win
09/2/2015 14:43 | US light crude up 3%, OPEC states today that oil demand growing faster than expected and record demand next year. US fracked oil here to stay, infrastructure largely in place. OPECs mistake was to allow oil prices to stay high too long which allowed US infrastructure expenditure to facilitate US fracking. That genie is out of the bottle and without it oil would be much higher in price. | ![]() che7win
09/2/2015 14:43 | I don't know what all the fuss is about. The bears are reiterating everything that is already known...ranting off about no updates, no growth, no plant review, when its blatantly obvious that the company is waiting for the water permit hearing on the 19th before addressing these issues. Therefore a lack of news is not due to the company being in a desperate situation at all. Che i totally agree with you. | ![]() bogg1e
09/2/2015 14:19 | Ahh, there you are ACT, I was expecting you to turn up 😀 Now, did you buy your TUNG or not? £213m market cap and a £31m loss predicted, you say it's a good buy? | ![]() che7win
09/2/2015 14:08 | I have to agree with Heartwell, this is starting to look rather worrying. I wonder, will there be another funding at finals? | arlington chetwynd talbot
09/2/2015 13:58 | It's actually sad when some individuals blame others for their own investments. IOF when I started investing had many risks, superg addressed most of those but I was never under any illusion that this was an early stage start up. The plants are now proven, iodine production growth is real and tangible, the company lost its way last year but current management are now back on track and ready for growth. A lot of mistakes were made but nothing that can't be corrected, tweaked or improved upon. This at a time when chemicals continues to grow and nearly outpacing our iodine supply, I would call that a fair performance. Of course there are set backs, i was concerned about over exuberance a couple of years ago, at this price we can make mistakes and not be punished by the market for it. Escapetohome on the other thread, you are typical of the kind of investor today that follows others around, then blames them when things go wrong. Have you ever read the company financial statements, rang the company up and talked to them, done due diligence? Would you buy a car without doing research? Talk about a nervy investor, no wonder! I am no longer a buyer or seller because I have the amount of shares I was after, I'm nearly double what I had a couple of years ago and very content to stay at my current level for some time. DYOR. | ![]() che7win

09/2/2015 13:30 | Heartwell, The strategic plan is nearing completion, but go do your own research. I haven't been led up any path, I'm fully in agreement how current directors are managing IOF, no complaints now, they are playing this perfectly. | ![]() che7win
09/2/2015 13:27 | Fest, I'm genuinely surprised by your comment. I don't watch the share price other than when I'm buying or selling, neither of which I wish to do right now. Im quite sanguine on my investment now and I welcome the quietness of the board. I would much rather have a quiet board than outright exuberance, most people that wish to sell have sold and we are left with a rump of depressed shareholders. That suits me perfectly, it shows me most investors are looking in the rear view mirror, I bet we find anyone who sold out will be rushing back in when we hit 60p. Me, I'm getting more bullish by the day, the market isn't looking at the prospects, nor the turnaround last year, nor the cut in expenditure, nor the imminent water news or expansion plans. Why wouldnt I be bullish? I've seen this behaviour so many times, just watch. We need to make no more than £2m profit to justify this price. Stop looking at the share price and start looking at the company statements. The possibilities here are exciting, Mr Market is there to serve you, not the other way around. | ![]() che7win
09/2/2015 13:21 | "It's all gearing up for an exciting few months, I love it!" Che7win, you must enjoy pain. Get ready for more, you will still be waiting for the review this time next month. It's all about the water now and that conclusion could be many months away. No water = no growth You've been led up the no iodine plants path ROTFLOL | ![]() heartwell

09/2/2015 12:10 | Annoying the share price is going the other way :(( | ![]() joeblogg2
09/2/2015 12:10 | Heartwell right again. Where are the growth plans for future plants? They will have to tell shareholders the reason soon? The inner circle know already imo. How's your SB banksy? Not good from what I'm hearing lol | ![]() heartwell
09/2/2015 12:08 | US light up another ~2%, iodine prices look to have bottomed, upcoming water case and then results. It's all gearing up for an exciting few months, I love it! | ![]() che7win

09/2/2015 09:36 | Thanks Od There is no fine line between free speech and some of the comments made. What the folks don't realise is if an aggrieved party reports some of those comments, authorities are compelled to take serious action and can't ignore it. So to all posters keep it to slanging matches kids playground stuff if you feel the need to exchange with them. | ![]() superg1
09/2/2015 09:12 | SG, Re adverts - I use AdBlock it's a free download and stops adverts on my screen/computer. | ![]() serratia
09/2/2015 08:58 | Over the weekend I was watching a biography on Mr. Flynt of the Hustler magazine. Supreme court was deciding how far the free speech can go. I was surprised how far. Interesting too. In the USA at that time. BB springs to mind. | ![]() odvod
09/2/2015 08:10 | Serratia A few have been talking about that, ADVFN is a farce becoming much worse in recent times. It makes one wonder if they condone all that is going on, it's all advertising for them and pay per click. I have noticed in recent times if I try to click on a topic I want it takes me to an ad first, so someone somewhere is paying for that and it seems underhand to me. | ![]() superg1
08/2/2015 22:20 | I thought I had Sussed what was going on over there , it got that out of hand that RC of Xel came out and posted a video alluding to false information being posted on investor forums , incredible really. These people may have gone a step to far this time. Well not long for the hearing now and hopefully strategic review by the end of feb would be nice | stevo2011
08/2/2015 22:13 | I know it's easier trying to understand Montana water laws than who is who on that thread. It's a great example of why folks should use filter, otherwise things can escalate to quite astonishing levels. I use filter to avoid reading such stuff for reasons known to me. | ![]() superg1 |
