Ok update Research note on UK Infrastructure Bank under Notes 2 May 2024

Currently, National Grid forecasts show that up to 29 GW of total storage could be needed by 2030 and up to 51 GW by 2050. This is a huge increase on the 6 GW approx. currently available and means there is a clear need to accelerate the deployment of capital and investment in new storage projects.

If not cynical then lacks the competency of even basic analysis..which is my point. Much of that he writes about is net assets profits etc ..why bother when there are proper analysts that cover this if you read his other stuff there are huge differences to his analysis and the proper analysts and his errors are always huge and in plain site ..the only conclusion i can come up with is he s daft ramper. If he was just incompetent he would get negative results sometimes but his pe net asset calculations always end up positive and hugely over the top suggesting he is a cynic

Well thanks for the dd., mega2. Not sure he's as cynical as that. Maybe drop him a line and see what he comes back with?

Oakbloke "On a forecast P/E 2026 of 2 and P/E 2027 of 1, IES is well-positioned, now well-capitalised and if it can execute its plan will reward investors handsomely."

It will most likely taken this guy some time to produce the above article clearly struggling with even the basic competencies..what I cannot understand is why would he not check his figures against the proper analysts that he is aware of reference s ...they have net earnings of £15.4 mill for 2026...making a c 7 times pe..
This daft ramper has it at 2 ...all of his analysis I have read is similar daft ramping with huge obvious errors always leading to massively overstating the reality and potential. It's not surprising to see other daft rampers promote his very poor coverage ...I don't see the point of such delusional stuff it's designed to trick mugs into investing which never ends well as the reality comes home to roost .

Well I would probably rate them more highly than my local team, Oxford United's recent win at Wembley. And given the Oxford connection, who knows what rubs off?
Though I'd just caution that the city is historically known as the Home of lost Causes.
So maybe an each way bet.

Also of interest might be the interview with Richard Hulf of HGEN where he talks about the breadth of their interest in the infrastructure of hydrogen development. He doesn't -as far as I recall- mention IES, but I believe VFRB may/will have a complementary part to play, rather contrary to my earlier thoughts that they were competitors.

I came to the conclusion Siemens Ganesa was currently not in the frame re ies as they are concentrating solely on their core business. More evidence here as they put up their Indian wind arm for sale wouldn't be surprised if the other part followed suit at some point . Certainly not the end of the world for ies just I continue to firmly believe they are out the picture here for the foreseeable .

itsriskythat - that article is behind a paywall, how does this apply to IES? Edit: I waited for a reply, and since there was not its been removed.

Update on Open Offer

17 May 2024 Funds must be in the account on the Open Offer to cover Original Offer. If any are over-subscribed Funds also need to be in the account.

20 May 2024 money will be taken from the account.

This should clarify the amount of shares on the over-subscribed if taken up.

"In addition, one of the main disadvantages of sodium-ion batteries is that they have a low energy density compared to other popular batteries such as lithium batteries, so they can store less energy per unit weight."

Maybe we're not doomed yet!

All these new lithium projects being contested
The general public definitely waking up to the very real dangers of lithium fire or explosion risks and the very toxic vapour cloud emitted in the process.
Gid scale batteries are driven extremely hard and the degredation and ultimately the huge toxic end of life waste will be immense.

Yes it's frustrating to see the obvious and would be huge to see a situation like these resolved by switching to vfrb making new projects get the message that vfrb will be an easier route to successful planning . Let's hope the orders are lined up and manufacturing capability will be the near term limiting factor .
