10/12/2009 15:34 | Someone's picking up a decent chunk - if those are sells and the rice hasn't come off there must be a big buy order out there imo. CR | cockneyrebel
10/12/2009 10:59 | Agree. FD's in the city today so perhaps some coverage. CR | cockneyrebel
10/12/2009 08:30 | The management's caution at the time of the IMS has been replaced with a much more confident tone and the outlook statement concludes with '...Although we expect conditions to remain challenging, the business has been returned to profit and we are excited about the growth opportunities ahead.' The turn around has definitely started. | daz
10/12/2009 08:13 | Heading back up to test the recent high by the look of it - think the buyers will be in here as they absorb the turn around news and the potential imo. CR | cockneyrebel
10/12/2009 07:42 | Back in profit already :-) Wasn't expecting that - with heavy weighted earnings to H2 I thought they might be losing a penny or two still. New management really turning it around swiftly and sound confident going fwd imo. H2 should be interesting :-) CR | cockneyrebel
09/12/2009 08:02 | Morning t 2 r, thanks for the info, even more useful knowing your background with the company. Roll on next tuesday ! | psolomons
08/12/2009 22:24 | UK order book on advanced giftwrap up approx 10% for 2010 in comparison with 09. t 2 r | time 2 retire
30/11/2009 08:51 | The annual report is worth a read imo: The board changes have been significant, that's what a turnaround nearly always requires. Been big changes and better proceedures put in place with proven guys from within the business. CR | cockneyrebel
27/11/2009 16:32 | Thnks again t 2 r, v interesting . Hopefully you are right about the company turning the corner, like you I strongly suspect they have. Perhaps its time for us all to retire !! | psolomons
27/11/2009 16:14 | Yes psolomons things are much better than they've been for many a month(please read my posts on iii if you've got time). Things were dire going back 2 yrs or so but thats all behind us( AGAIN HOPEFULLY). I've worked there man and boy for over 20 yrs now hence the name TIME 2 RETIRE. I first bought in in dec 07 at 105p per share after having a little chat with my great leader and company founder ANDERS HEDLUND-obviously he could'nt say much because that would be illegal and classed as passing on inside information but reading between the lines i thought i was onto a winner and convinced that i'd double my money by the following summer-how wrong i was, the price subsequently dived!!! That was a good thing short term tho cos i've continued to buy and have amassed over 100k shares now at a break even price of just 30p so i'm already 150% in profit on my total investments. I'm in it long time like yourself psolomons and think we're both onto a BIG WINNER long term. Good luck to us all. t 2 r | time 2 retire
27/11/2009 15:45 | Thnks time to retire. I didn't realise you worked for the company. Is there a general sense that things are going OK ? | psolomons
27/11/2009 15:39 | I'd say go back to the start of November - have a look at the selling that has happened since then, it's relentless and in volume. Now ask yourself how is it the bid has risen throught that time from 70p to 73p without dipping? As sellers turn up there is and extremely intersted buyer of the stock imo. Paying up on the Ask means they'll move the price up so they are accumulating all they can from any sellers imo. Everything you see in trades isn't always what it seems :-) CR | cockneyrebel
27/11/2009 15:13 | Thank you psolomons-as i thought its all a bit hit and miss. I'll drip feed any info i get to hear about on IG to this thread but must stress that its only at shop floor level and not middle/senior manager/director levels UNFORTUNATELY but as they say every little helps! t 2 r | time 2 retire
27/11/2009 14:43 | Trouble is the price of the trades was in the middle of the bid and offer. We know they are almost certrainly buys but the computer guesses sells. Without human input into each individual trade we have to rely on they system we have got. Don't think there is a better one out there im afraid. | psolomons
27/11/2009 14:26 | Those 2 trades earlier this morning consisting of 50k and 175k are showing up as sells everywhere i look-i suspected they were buys tho due to the price. Anyone know where i can find a more accurate website that does'nt show all trades as guesswork. Thanks guys. t 2 r | time 2 retire
27/11/2009 11:41 | 175K trade now - someones taking stock in size off of somebody - a few weeks before the results. CR | cockneyrebel
27/11/2009 11:08 | That's some vote of confidence with the news from Dubai casting a shadow over the market. IGR hasn't sold off at all yesterday, which bodes well. | daz
27/11/2009 10:29 | Someone's picked up 50K today at just under mid and caused the bid to tick up. Nice to see with the results approaching. CR | cockneyrebel
26/11/2009 14:16 | Good to hear from you time 2 retire. I follow the iii thread from time to time and agree there should be some good news on the 15th. Anything you have to add to this thread would be gratefully received. | psolomons
26/11/2009 14:03 | Hello-i wish i'd come across this discussion board much earlier! There's a lot more going down than on the iii board that i sometimes post, and it looks like every1 of us on here is singing from the same song sheet which is a good thing-no negativity. Glory days for IG once again are just around the corner(HOPEFULLY). | time 2 retire
24/11/2009 15:09 | FWIW I think this Christmas is going to work out better than expected partly due to a last minute rush to avoid the VAT rise and because recovery looks to be on the way. The start of 2010 looks likely to be a problem for many retailers but that shouldn't worry IGR that much, hopefully a sustainable recovery is underway by the end of 2010 in time for next Christmas, when IGR should be in an even better position. It's worth saying that IGR has avoided a dilutive share issue, so shareholders will fully benefit from any recovery and there's a long way to go before previous highs are even glimpsed. The chart, while not so easy to read because of the sharp movements, shows that the uptrend is still intact, with the shares above the 50 day moving average, which given the volatility in the last month, is some achievement and bodes well for the next few weeks until results. | daz
24/11/2009 14:39 | Ticking up - results on Dec 15 CR | cockneyrebel
12/11/2009 15:11 | Marked up after that volume this week and bid moving up today. Roll on Dec results. CR | cockneyrebel
10/11/2009 10:26 | What's going on then? MM's paying a penny over the bid for all those large chunks and not hitting the price - must be a buyer for that lot - in fact I suspect they are buys - I think you'll probably see a chunky trade or two later @ 72p or so that adds up to that little lot this am added together - that will be the sell to match all these buys imo. We'll see. CR | cockneyrebel |
