18/6/2010 12:08 | I see Singer are now forecasting £5.2m pbt, 13p eps 2.6p divi, sales of £114m. So just on those forecasts PE of 12 for the current year falling to 10 next year. If sales were £103m last year and are up 17.9% this year they are on course for sales this year of £120m+. Forecasts are for sales to rise £9m and profits to rise £4m. If they are on corse to raise sales £18m then profits will be a lot higher than current forecasts imo, even tho they've been raised. You don't get growth this good on a fwd PE of 10 as forecast for long imo and the forecasts are too light - going higher imo. CR | cockneyrebel
18/6/2010 11:53 | cheers B-B-D. Someone's buying - couple of nice 50K's just gone through :-) CR | cockneyrebel
16/6/2010 05:03 | FT Ideal Shopping Direct shares rise By Hannah Kuchler Published: June 16 2010 01:38 | Last updated: June 16 2010 01:38 Shares in Ideal Shopping Direct, the TV shopping channel, rose 7 per cent to 165½p after full-year forecasts were upgraded on the back of an 18 per cent rise in sales in the 21 weeks to the end of May. Group sales rose 10.5 per cent excluding the contribution from Lead The Good Life, the mail order gardening company acquired in January. Like this bit Ideal Shopping Direct is launching a rival to Pets at Home at the beginning of July. Animal Bargains will have its own website and shows on the Ideal Shopping channel, but may in time expand to its own channel, like Ideal's Create and Craft division. The retailer has hired Chris Palmer-Smith who was a senior buyer at Pets at Home. | bigbigdave
15/6/2010 09:16 | These will surprise to the good at the results imo Big-B-Dave, that's their way under Hancox. Will be interesting to see what 'substantial' is. The fact they are paying a divi from the interim half is very positive, thought they might wait till year end. Sales are up 17.9% compared to last year - they were up 17.5% at the year end results - means currently in recent weeks they are up over 18% and the comparisons have got tougher to beat too. 17.9% up on sales should nean around £121m sals for the year at the current rate, consensus is for around £114m. Given the operational gearing and the increased margins then the eps should come in way ahead of forecasts imo. These were doing 17p eps on 79m sales back in 05 so that gives you an idea of the potential imo - and paying 3p divi. Net cash of £8m at the year end - must have risen somewhat too imo. £56m mkt cap so something like 20% of the market cap in cash and no debt. Looks chuffin cheap to me. CR | cockneyrebel

15/6/2010 06:28 | Absolutely stunning update! Frauddy, you were asking -'Where's the divi?' Well it's being delivered from H1 this year. :-) If as they say they will make a substantial profit in H1 that's gonna be 4p eps imo - an 8p improvement over H1 last year. They did 8p eps in H2 last year - can expect at least a 6p eps improvement in H2 after this - that means 18p eps minimum and a divi and net cash. Going up substantially imo. CR | cockneyrebel
15/6/2010 06:08 | Nice update, doesn't get much better than that. Must be well ahead of forecasts. Dividend reintroduced too. | bigbigdave
