16/1/2006 11:40 | Lansdowne Partners main directors ex Merril Lynch seem to like making deals. Have a lot of big corporate clients. Fortuitously bought Aggregates the day before it was taken over. Since January 6th I reckon over 2000000 Ideal Shopping have been sold. There obviouly seems to be a demand for the shares. | poacher45
15/1/2006 17:29 | Does the notification of an interest by Lansdowne Partners mean that they are building up a stake . If so to what end ? Anyone got any ideas ? | bobb49
12/1/2006 16:43 | It needs to break through and rise above the downtrend channel before anything exciting happens. Both the long term upward trendline and the short term downtrend are about to converge, so we should see some action quite soon - hopefully upwards! :) | radarlove
12/1/2006 13:36 | boring share! | gumberr
10/1/2006 11:12 | radar I hear what your saying but I think at the moment there is still room for growth as more and more people get freeview, which at the moment has not saturated the market. Until that happens growth will continue. With regards to the share price rising, you have to remember in the old days they floated around £2.00 and it was only because of the fire they had, was why the share price fell to 30p.. So really its back to a level that normal for a company this size. | powwow
09/1/2006 15:27 | even £4 is great! | gumberr
09/1/2006 14:25 | Gumberr, The main problem IDS have to deal with now is the increasing competition. The last two years has seen a phenomenal share price increase from around 30p to highs of 400. My main concern is that 2006 could be the year when the IDS share price takes a breather and will trade sideways between 320 and 400. | radarlove
08/1/2006 12:43 | I saw that article too Gumberr, very encouraging. It was good to see the share price recover its earlier losses on friday p.m. The rsi & macd are looking good too! | davocon
06/1/2006 21:27 | Ah, support from the Chronic Investor - that's the one bear point about IDS then ;-) | samg99

06/1/2006 15:42 | £5.50 min to start with, then £7+ no problem in the next 12 months I'd say. reckon mms are getting their stock before the next move... give it a week. | powwow
06/1/2006 11:36 | agreed £5 target no probs! 7Million pretax -that is SUPERB! | gumberr
06/1/2006 07:57 | Also should get a juicy dividend...get a few institutions on board! | invisage
06/1/2006 07:56 | 100 mil market cap, 24mil in cash + 7mil from profits. Strong growth. Should see broker upgrades. This is dirt cheap! 500p here we come...! | invisage
06/1/2006 07:55 | Trading Statement released today - the reason for the jump up yesterday perhaps! RNS Number:5425W Ideal Shopping Direct PLC 06 January 2006 Ideal Shopping Direct Plc ("the Company") 6 January 2006 Trading Update The Board of Ideal Shopping Direct is pleased to report that trading in the peak period running up to Christmas has been satisfactory, with sales for the months of November and December up by 20% on the equivalent period of 2004. Sales for the second half in total have risen by more than 15% year on year. With the full picture of sales for the year to December 31st 2005 now clear, the Board expects that profits before tax for the year will meet market estimates and will be in excess of #7.0 million, a record for the company. Final results for the 2005 year will be reported on March 9th 2006. Jim Hodkinson, Chairman, commented: "As we reported at our interims in September, we expected the market to become tougher in the second half. Despite this, I am delighted to be able to report another strong second half trading performance. The business has continued to make good progress over the last year, particularly as our Freeview sales have been like-for-like since May. This reflects a strengthened management team and the continuing success of our multi-channel strategy. We have also invested in the launch of Jewellery Vault and in preparations for a major systems upgrade. I am confident that we now have a strong platform for further progress in 2006." | ranger101
05/1/2006 17:47 | Just spotted a delayed buy of 26300 shares @ 340p. Nice :) | samg99
05/1/2006 09:40 | like I said they will do well as they are in a growing market and I know how the mms treat this stock. I really do expect this now tomove to £5.50 and possibly in the near term £7.00 + once bidders come along. | powwow
