28/6/2016 09:13 | "anyway IAG would move its HQ to Dublin long before" LOL - Try Spain, It is always advisable to at least attempt to do some research before you buy a share. | dac123

27/6/2016 16:32 | "I reckon IAG is incredibly cheap" My it is, ....but you would say that now that you have bought in. Is this fall all down to Brexit? | jailbird
27/6/2016 15:13 | Never heard so much rubbish in my life as has been talked in this Referendum....and even more since. There is only one country and one person who matters in the EU and that is currently Angela Merkel. She wants nothing to happen any time soon. Given our lack of a PM (and opposition, if anyone cares, we won't be doing anything soon anyway. The Germans wanted to get rid of the Greeks at several points, but found that they could not. It is up to the country leaving to invoke Article 50. Unless disaster happens and the wretched fool Boris becomes PM,I cannot see us ever doing that. This referendum was NOT a binding one; it was only advisory. Parliament has to consider it, but is not bound by it (binding referendum are possible under the various UK laws, but this was not one). At the moment about500 MPs are in favour of Remain. There could be a General Election....but that would produce pretty much the same. So I doubt Brexit will ever happen, and anyway IAG would move its HQ to Dublin long before. I reckon IAG is incredibly cheap & the best way of benefitting from the referendum mess. I have bought today.....in pretty good size for a private investor | randomwalker
27/6/2016 10:52 | I have added lots of long positions today - -let's hope I am not having to average down at 200p level. All the positions have limited risk - but I would rather be taking profits in couple of months. | younasm

27/6/2016 09:10 | Bb,Not just EU issues BA internal issues also will impact the airline . Outsourcing drive is also affecting the service .Have you not seen the large queues at Terminal 5 . Their new systems are unstable . Hundreds of flight delays on weekly basis It will be interesting to see whether the savings will recover the damage caused by this strategy. | jailbird
27/6/2016 08:58 | Just crazy the share price action here, the silver lining is the fact that Aer linguistic and Iberia are constituent parts within this alliance, however BA. clearly going to suffer, the sooner we invoke Article 50 the sooner the new agreements can be determined, I really do not think the public thought through the referendum implications, it is quite staggering the ignorance of people particularly the Welsh and Northerners, why Nissan would wish to re-invest in its Sunderland now would deeply surprise me! | bookbroker
27/6/2016 07:39 | Overlooked potential impact to Airlines.British politicians now will have to negotiate new rules for the skies. Options include becoming an adjunct member to the European single aviation market, like Norway and a few other non-EU countries. It could also pursue a bilateral agreement with the EU similar to that agreed by Switzerland; or a hodgepodge of separate deals with the EU, the U.S. and other countries, industry experts said.Traffic rights between the U.S. and Britain could revert to an old and highly restrictive bilateral agreement, called Bermuda 2, that limited flights and access to London Heathrow, said John Byerly, the former chief U.S. aviation treaty negotiator. Both sides would likely move quickly, though, to a more liberal deal, he said, which would preserve existing services and pacts such as those between American Airlines Group Inc. and British Airways, and Delta Air Lines Inc. and Virgin Atlantic Airways Ltd. | jailbird

24/6/2016 10:25 | RNS RESPONSE TO UK REFERENDUM RESULT ON EUROPEAN UNION MEMBERSHIP International Consolidated Airlines Group, S.A. (IAG) believes that the vote to leave the European Union will not have a long term material impact on its business. In the short term, however, in the run up to the UK referendum during June, IAG experienced a weaker than expected trading environment. Following the outcome of the referendum, and given current market volatility, while IAG continues to expect a significant increase in operating profit this year, it no longer expects to generate an absolute operating profit increase similar to 2015. | philanderer

15/6/2016 10:17 | The valuation of this stock is simply crazy, it has to be one of the most profitable airlines in the world, even if global economies are stagnant at best, Brexit or not, the price here does not reflect the immense work done Willie Walsh in integrating Iberia into the alliance, and the likelihood of further deals with a Pan-Asian airline down the road! Sure he has already flagged a slowdown in traffic in the run up to this historic vote, however whatever the outcome it should still be noted that Britain is open for business, however the caveat is the fall in in sterling should the country vote out, how that affects the bottom line is possibly yet to be realised, and the repercussions for premium rate growth! | bookbroker |
