Monty, how's your big gamble on MicroFocus going :)
What are you down, only 40-50%????
Microfocus's debt along with the terrible HP purchase and integration f'up will strangle them, along with ever decreasing sales.
Those in glass houses and all that!

Co has said won't rule out raising more cash in case of 'prolonged and widespread' lockdowns. But the coming 4-6 weeks would not constitute that imo, the actual income loss from, let's face it, UK holidaymakers at this time of year won't rock the boat much considering they've already massively scaled down expectations.

Fear of running into next year open-ended would be another matter but I think viable low cost testing will be in place before then.

Anyone think this plastic lockdown will only last 4 weeks

Plastic because schools universities and nurserys will still be doing an excellent job of spreading the virus around

Any substance to rumour that Dominic Cummings advised Boris to hold off on full lockdown so that they could make the most of their caravan/mobile holiday homes at Seaham and the Isle of Sheppey until they shut down for winter on 31 October
We await further information as to the veracity of this rumour

montyhead,

If I recall correctly you were ramping these to the heavens at 500 to 600p - any guilt to those you suckered in at that price, eh? No? Thought not, you scum.

And now you have the gall to gloat at others' misfortunes and wish for 88p here. You dirty, foul scumbag.

Time after time changing the polarity of your posts every time that suits, like you did on RDSB and others -- you appalling little man. You maggot.

Karma will come calling on you ... as that's just nature's way of regaining its equilibrium.

Filth.

EasyJet is considering options to bolster its finances, and is not against state support to help the airline get through the coronavirus pandemic, chief executive Johan Lundgren said today.

“I am not against state aid,” he said. “It is very clear that the crisis has been to that extent that you can’t expect the industry and its players to cope with it all by themselves.”

With travel across Europe at very low levels, most airlines are bleeding cash, but easyJet’s finances have come under particular scrutiny amid media reports that it has signalled to the UK government it may need more financial support.

To survive the impact of the pandemic, it has raised more than 900 million pounds from the sale and leaseback of aircraft, taken a 600 million pound loan from the government, cut 4,500 jobs and tapped shareholders for 419 million pounds.

Measures introduced in the second lockdown include shutting hospitality venues and preventing outbound international travel apart from work trips.

A month long lockdown really won't make much difference to IAG, from the current status of things.

Not many A/C are flying anyway.
