That's silly as they could be infected by a passenger with the virus.

If precautions are there and the countries agree the waiver on quarantine then I have no fear in flying. Life has to continue

No one in their right mind surely will fly until a vaccine. This 14 day quarantine, final nail for airlines. I see 155p IAG coming days. Even then still market cap 3.1 billion pounds.

Anyone believe a penny share now?
14 days quarantine outbound and 14day quarantine inbound, that’s 28days in quarantine prior to your time in a country.
Wow, why would anyone now get on a plane. The industry is dead other than for freight, isn’t it?

Thank you Mr Johnson, you've reassured me that this virus only travels by air..........So all Ports and Beaches (for Migrants) will remain open.

The quarantine of all people entering by air is a massive blow to all airlines. I use to fly weekly with BA until end March and now I just don’t see the real restart until September , never mind July. I hope is before as air travel is fundamental to the modern life. This is the biggest disaster in modern aviation history

Does that mean a BA crew doing say a 5 hour round trip to say Frankfurt has to Self Isolate for 14 days upon their return?

Folks, if this goes down over the next week or so, it's an opportunity to buy more. Anyone who has bought IAG over the last 2 months must have known that they would be holding for 1-2 years at least and you'll be rewarded for doing so. If you wanted to make a quick buck, buying airline stock is not where you should have started. If Virgin collapses, IAG will be in a significantly stronger position when restrictions are lifted. And if BA management achieve their cost cutting aims and hedge oil for a long period, the savings will be into the billions each year.We are world hooked on traveling, this is a blip but it will return stronger, as it has after every other aviation crisis

Airlines restrictionS will end up being in line with the international consensus.
uk will not be harsher than others.

I see the marine Channel border patrol offered their usual taxi service for hundreds of illegal immigrants crossing the channel.
I thought they were to stop them, not assist them.

They almost never get sent back, the French are glad to see the back of them, they want to come here, and the church groups are making sure they are all welcome.

The word gets around, they will all end up in the uk.
On top of that we have human rights lawyers earning vast fees for helping them stay.

Not much use tightening up airports when this Channel taxi service is operating.

Quarantine restrictions are the death knell for airlines. No-one knows when or if they will be lifted. Market hates uncertainty hence liklihood of price fall
