05/10/2006 05:39 | multi I believe the mms are short of stock here. It is tricky to trade but I have added to my holding at the same time as your friend has been trying to buy. I suggest he move broker. | hybrasil
04/10/2006 16:36 | He already did. The answer back is that AIM is like a bulletin board, and that the market makers don´t have to trade at the quoted prices. Which basically means that the market is open for free manipulation. My friend have a feeling that the marketmakers are short the stock, and for all in the world don´t want the stock to rise. The spread shown , 3/4 of a penny, for me also indicates a terribly manipulated market, as a seller probably only gets the 15,75 and a buyer can´t even get in at 16,50. It is almost 5% spread which belongs in an emerging market, not the UK imo. | multiplural
04/10/2006 15:20 | Something is wrong then - tell him to go to his broker and tell them to buy 50K from Merril Lynch or Peel Hunt - they have to sell him 50K @ 16.5p - they are quoting 16.5p for 50K. CR | cockneyrebel
04/10/2006 14:58 | I know of a guy who have been bidding 16,50 yesterday and today. Although the bid offer is shown 15,75-16,50 he gets zero shares. I simply do not understand this system. Do the marketmakers have an explicit interest in keeping the share down, and how can it be legal, in my world it is manipulation. | multiplural
03/10/2006 10:12 | it hit 16p bid for a minute this am | hybrasil
02/10/2006 17:28 | loads of buys today. | hybrasil
02/10/2006 11:35 | There are now no shares electronically (well 6k or £975 worth) at the offer price. There is only one market maker on the offer for 5k at 16.25p,you will see this at level 2. | hybrasil
02/10/2006 09:37 | I have a feeling that you could see another jump in the share price here. All 76k traded this morning are buys. MMs hold very little stock. The positive statements coming from the co and the enthusiastic director buying can only mean a higher share price | hybrasil
02/10/2006 08:15 | very few shares around bought a tiny amount this am (12.5k)and they went 15.75 p bid an all time high since I first invested nearly 2 years ago | hybrasil

27/9/2006 11:28 | multiplural - he needs to ask his broker to work the order. On that basis they should say they have filled part and then try to get the rest through the day. MM's deal in several sizes 50K, 25K, 5K. It might depend on which mm was on the offer, if it was one of the 5K mm's then he might have trouble. Just one of the (KBC) mm's dealing in 50K is on 16p at the moment - if someone puts in a buy for 50K that mm is obliged to trade 50K at that price. CR | cockneyrebel
27/9/2006 11:23 | Kleinwort and Kbc will now sell 25k each | hybrasil
27/9/2006 11:19 | Was that his 100k | hybrasil

27/9/2006 09:48 | winterfloods will sell 50k at 15.45p | hybrasil
27/9/2006 08:13 | Your friend could insist that the marketmakers give him the normal market size as a right. He could then go back and ask for the normal market size again! Chances are that he will not ultimately get the full number of shares that he was looking for, but you will at least see the price rise! Often in situations such as this you are better off getting protection in part of the order and then leaving the rest with the marketmaker for him to work on - above all, you do need to use a proper broker who has a good relationship with the relevant marketmaker. | mesquida
27/9/2006 07:55 | This should be illegal. I know of a person having an order in today to buy 200k at 15,50. He has not received any, and the price is quoted 14,50-15,25. I think the company ought to do something about this, it is a disservice to all shareholders that the marketprice doesn´t reflect the real level. Is there anywhere you could file a complaint over this? | multiplural
26/9/2006 20:54 | Much better with the charts. ta Hy 8-) | bigbigdave
26/9/2006 19:43 | But I was wrong, a mere 7%. Very sorry. This now has the potential if the get the retailing side to work to literaaly fly | hybrasil
