04/3/2019 11:51 | Can someone please explain what "equity free cash flow" is. Thank you | m1k3y1
04/3/2019 11:31 | Lufty Fall is technical MSCI Spanish Index tracker funds are forced sellers. Someone said about 300m euros worth of shares, that approximately 50m shares, selling say 5m a day, so 10 days from announcement. Perhaps couple more days of a silly price. Figures were profits and revenue a record, dividend 50.5c. eps 142.5c, sterling eps 126p roughly, so p.e 4.6 on my calculations. On Brexit Walsh said got everything covered. | montyhedge
04/3/2019 10:58 | My view is that the shares are taking a beating due to three factors :- No credible Brexit plan announced Flat future growth Trading on 2 x Book Value (Average trading multiple for airlines) I see little change until the Brexit situation is resolved. | lufty
04/3/2019 10:55 | Some support @580 - otherwise a proper plane crash! | skinny
04/3/2019 10:44 | IAG has guided down free cash flow and raised capex spending to analysts over the weekend.Bit odd ! | brain smiley
04/3/2019 09:22 | Still one thing guys if your long nice special and ordinary dividend on the way, 50.5c, getting paid to wait for these MSCI tracker funds to clear out. | montyhedge
04/3/2019 08:51 | But once they finished should be a very nice bounce. Obviously bears have jump on board has well. | montyhedge
04/3/2019 08:38 | Tracker funds are still force sellers from the MSCI index it's seems, hopefully finished by Friday. | montyhedge
03/3/2019 11:44 | HL research update on IAG (published 28 Feb) - hxxps://www.hl.co.uk | toon1966
01/3/2019 16:24 | Should trade higher next week, get these tracker boys out the way. | montyhedge
01/3/2019 14:03 | Now just waiting for all the broker upgrades in the coming days/weeks/months... | toon1966
01/3/2019 13:47 | Yes both on this, investor rare for me, these in ISA for tax free dividends. Also trade in and out, no stamp duty, plenty of movement up and down superb for traders. But this of course wrong price due to technical situation with MSCI index.I bet these due for a massive run higher. 695p short term target. Just can't get over how good those figures were. | montyhedge
01/3/2019 13:34 | Made my day neilrich, thankyou!!! | toon1966
01/3/2019 13:30 | Monty you're starting to sound like an investor....thought you were a trader?! lol | neilrich
01/3/2019 13:07 | Toon...as I said, you pays your money and makes your choice. | m1k3y1
01/3/2019 12:56 | I see Ryanair up 4% and Easy Jet up 3.6%. If not for the tracker funds being forced sellers, we would be up 5%. Still be patient they must be near the end of selling. | montyhedge
01/3/2019 12:50 | Trade wars - How would a global trade war affect aviation? Air passenger and freight both at risk from an escalation in tariffs. Recent developments in global trade protectionism have seen an escalation from rhetoric into action. Such developments are not positive for air transport – for either air cargo or passenger markets. At this stage, the likely industry impacts appear modest, but this may change as the dispute continues to evolve. A global trade war does not form part of our ‘central case’ global outlook, but it is an important risk. The nature, scope & geographic spread of any protectionist measures are key to understanding the industry impact. hxxps://www.iata.org | toon1966
01/3/2019 12:35 | Wonder if IAG get tipped Sunday Press. | montyhedge
01/3/2019 12:33 | If Brexit agreement then take off, should add 25p easily. | montyhedge
01/3/2019 12:30 | toon.... you pays your money and makes your choice. I hardly think trade wars will affect IAG. As for oil prices, they will always and have always been a factor for airlines. IAG are VERY good at hedging and if it affects them, it will also affect their competitors. It won't stop people flying. IAG are getting big enough to be able to weather most headwinds that come their way. Personally I like the stock a great deal and see plenty of upside over the next few years. IF ( I repeat IF ) there is a brexit agreement, then it will only benefit the share price Good luck with your strategy toon. For me I am long IAG. | m1k3y1
01/3/2019 12:16 | m1k3y1 - if you're an income player then IAG maybe a winner for you. Forward guidance of 'flat' maybe acceptable to you but not others! Anyway IAG (and others) are still facing plenty of headwinds, Brexit, trade wars, EU economy, oil prices, passenger numbers. | toon1966
01/3/2019 11:59 | Yup. The numbers are fantastic. If flat next year (and the year after) then no big deal. Its not like the share price has got ahead of itself either.. | chiefbrody |
