Silent majority are accumulating. Check volumes and remember that. Shorts will always make the most noise.

Don’t need to, look at the papers. £7.5b to survive. What happens if a bailout doesn’t happen, bye bye. What happens if a bailout does happen, bye bye.
Fkd either way.
It’s sad that you don’t realise that by now.

1NHS. Thanks. The text is fine now.As far as your predictions are concerned they are proving to be uncannily accurate re the stock market and grounding of passenger aircraft fleets are concerned.I am hoping the rest of your analysis turns out to be wrong obviously. However I paid attention to your earlier suggestions regarding personal protection.Hope others did.

El Al to use empty passenger planes for cargo. The company has decided to offer their Boeing 787 "Dreamliner" aircraft for cargo use instead of for passengers.

A similar system was offered concerning the Boeing 777 fleet, but their use is more expensive.

Once the Far East opens back up, the only just in time response for medical supplies across Europe will be Air transport. My bet is whoever is still in the game will be using widebodys to fly the significant quantities of medical supplies in to the west.

Where is British Airways going to fly too, Australia is all but down, most of Europe is closing down as are some of the Middle-Eastern Countires, the USA is off limits.

Iberia and Vueling their other half are now all but locked down in Spain.

Loganair, no they don’t, that is factually incorrect. Even if that is invoked in the future, Other options are available to keep the route going, for example increased crewing and operate to/from in a single day with no layover.

This is why you are going to miss a massive opportunity. You have your head buried so deep in the doom situation you refuse to see true picture.

It's not important hence no Perth or Melbourne, it's too costly and aircraft can make more money on other routes.

IAG have options to survive

AIr Europa bought for 1B EUROS... Completion is expected to take place in H2 2020 following receipt of relevant approvals.

Surely they can pull out of that to preserve cash further?

the 500m conv bond was paid last year.

But then a new unsecured bond was raised for aircraft purchases i think.
This is all included in the 8B debt figure

BOND FINAL TERMS

Following the launch of the issue of two tranches of senior unsecured bonds (the "Offering") earlier today, IAG has now set the final terms of the Bonds. The aggregate offer size was fixed at EUR 1 billion.

-- The first tranche due 4 July 2023 will have a principal amount of EUR 500 million (the "Series A Bonds").

-- The second tranche due 4 July 2027 will have a principal amount of EUR 500 million (the "Series B Bonds", and together with the Series A Bonds, the "Bonds").

The Bonds will bear a fixed rate of interest of 0.5 per cent. and 1.5 per cent. per annum annually payable in arrear for the Series A Bonds and Series B Bonds, respectively.

The Kangaroo route is important for British Airways, who is going to want to fly to Australia if as soon as they arrive they'll need to self isolate for 14 days.

The financial system is strategic.... Who are they going to bail out first once there are loan / mortgage defaults and banks are in trouble.

Not sure they have any choice. It is an industry that is strategic and you cannot have any planes able to fly

Bojo and his goverment are going to be to inept to do anything. He is already been too slow off the curve in treating this as a public health crisis. Mind you, at least we don't have a corbyn government.

You really think they are going to act decisively with the airlines... Look at flybe, thomas cook, monarch.... I bet those companies expected goverment help.
