28/9/2018 10:47 | Interesting that the Telegraph article makes reference to the 'main causes for concern' being over industrial action and ATC restrictions within Europe. Earlier in the year Walsh also stated that strike action within France was a greater threat than the rising price of oil. I'm working within this industry, certainly been no strike action within recent months. | neilrich
28/9/2018 09:51 | Oh that's it then no problem. | montyhedge

28/9/2018 08:55 | Bears can't fight buybacks, especially on low volume day.But I'm with UBS on this one. Neutral from buy. | montyhedge
28/9/2018 00:29 | M1 - agree with your sentiments and Ned ref shorting. Remember we are waiting for 705 before shorting big time and there may only be a few hours or minutes left of buybacks. I better sell everything in the morning!! Don’t take the bait, just ignore. Nobody can predict how many days are left of buybacks. All we do know is that there will be a lot less shares in issue which means a larger earnings per share figure and if they adhere to the % payout for dividends more divi per share. IAG has one of the lowest PE ratios of the FTSE 100 companies and is approx half its peer group. Would not advise anyone to buy or sell based on my musings but I do believe in investing based on fundamentals and think these are a compelling medium term investment as do Citigroup and Berenberg. | elmo1971
27/9/2018 20:47 | Wow they pushed the boat out with buybacks today 1.4m. | montyhedge
27/9/2018 19:05 | Thanks neil | m1k3y1
27/9/2018 18:49 | I'd imagine that this is due to higher volume traded on the LSE and the 25% restriction, I suspect much lower volume traded Today in Madrid, therefore the imbalance. | neilrich
27/9/2018 18:10 | Interesting to note, that the buybacks appear to be more heavily weighted towards the LSE than Bolsa . I have no idea why though. | m1k3y1

27/9/2018 17:30 | I understand ned ......by all means short a company but why troll it so much on a chat forum. It can only be to try and encourage others to sell the stock, regardless of how the company is performing. Ultimately, this damages the company, the people who work for it and the shareholders. | m1k3y1
27/9/2018 16:40 | He's shorting IAG ..... | nedhammers1
27/9/2018 16:21 | That doesn't explain why you want a company to perform badly. | m1k3y1
27/9/2018 16:04 | Monty.....I've never known anyone to wish that a company's share price will perform badly , so much as you do. I don't understand why you would . | m1k3y1
27/9/2018 15:59 | Lol no chance ever known analyst target to be met on the upside. About 5 days buybacks left then cushion gone, looking for 580p. | montyhedge
27/9/2018 15:26 | looks like a buy to me . | m1k3y1
27/9/2018 15:08 | UBS would have gone neutral when IAG was in the range 685p - 695p. Their new target price 705p, at 659p that's 7% upside...neutral equals sell? | neilrich
27/9/2018 14:43 | What do UBS know .... | nedhammers1
27/9/2018 14:39 | UBS neutral from Buy in other words a sell. Oil not the main reason. | montyhedge
27/9/2018 12:13 | Goldman Sachs are saying that the Oil Price shall not hit $100 a barrel. The investment bank sees Brent “stabilizing back in their $70-80/bbl range into year-end.” | neilrich
27/9/2018 07:10 | If they have up buybacks to 1.3m a day, surely about 6 days left. Then let's see what happens to the shareprice. | montyhedge
26/9/2018 23:48 | I've upwards into +10pts territory today? | nedhammers1 |
