Good spot about Andrew Darley and I agree with your conclusion.

The only problem I have is that he has not been able to attract a lot of institutional interest at KBC Peel Hunt which is a much bigger broker than JM Finn.

It may well be that at a smaller broker he will be able to attract a different sort of investor. Only time will tell. But he will be sitting in J M Finn at a time when Intercede will announce its best ever set of results and I expect a very bullish forecast going forwards.

Certainly Peel Hunt didn't do a lot for the share price when IGP made that ill-fated placement!

I think they could have handled it much better than they did.

And the collapse in the share price running up to the announcement showed someone knew something they shouldn't!!!

The good news is that with interest rates close to zero any investor who has not has his capital wiped out by the banking collapse may have an appetite to invest in a few companies like IGP which offer the opportunity to quadruple your money.

Let's hope JM Finn can stimulate some interest in the company.

Cheers boadicea, glad you agree. There just had to be a good reason for Intercede changing at such a crucial time. After all the years they've been with Andrew Darley, they're not going to want a new analyst getting involved just now are they? .... when they're about to announce their best results ever.

ACCUMULATOR - Top marks for spotting that slightly obscure but very likely explanation. I hope we can look forward to Darley rewarding their personal loyalty.

Guys, I'm wondering if I may have found the reason for the change of Nomad, announced today. I've got most of KBC Peel Hunt's broker notes for IGP. The analyst was an Andrew Darley.

Looking at JM Finn's Research Team at:

it says that Andrew Darley, previously with KBC Peel Hunt, is now with JM Finn.

It may well be that when Intercede learnt of Darley departing KBCPH, rather than go through all the agro of having to get a new KBCPH analyst up to speed with Intercede, they decided to just follow Darley to JM Finn.

237gmoney, re: 1189. None of those other companies you mentioned have changed to JM Finn. They've gone mainly to Singer Capital Markets ;o)

I'm surprised about a change in corporate advisor so close to the interims. Does this mark an expansionary stage for IGP, or perhaps IGP reaching a stage in its cycle where it is becoming a likely take over target? I can't believe its simple a change of face for changes sake. guess we'll know more in a few days.

Hightex, stanelco, Cambrian mining, Andor Technology, PST, city of London, amoung many others also released this news today - has the broker not just changed their name or been bought out??? If it was just IGP then I would question it but with so many companies changing on the same day at the same time it cant just be coincedence.....

3 RNS in 3 days though has to be a record!!! keep it up guys!!

RSA were already paid up for Intercede to deliver 1m TWIC cards. the rest are down to IGP and Lockheed Martin now I guess but no one knows how much revenue IGP now get - all we know is it should be much more than before.

Also it is only 1m cards enrolled - there hasnt been 1m cards issued yet. there is a difference but the system is running smoothly at the moment so shouldnt take too much longer to get to the 1.2m on the original plan. IGP expect there to be upto 6m cards issued long term so has potential to be a real money spinner.....

I wonder if IGP have finished that contract for Lockheed yet....140,000 cards for all their employees.....must be time for another contract, tomorrow is yr end, I guess the office must be rushed off there feet counting up all the cash coming in!!!

I am sure i have read it somewhere, but why is the 1m TWIC figure so important to IGP ?

Does some different payment or commission structure come into play now ?

New immigration applicants to get identity cards for foreign nationals

27 March 2009
Yesterday Parliament approved regulations allowing the UK Border Agency to expand the identity cards scheme from 31 March to several categories of immigration applicants from outside the European Economic Area (EEA).
In November we introduced the first identity cards for spouses or partners and students given permission to extend their leave.

From 31 March migrants granted an extension in the following categories will also get an identity card:

* academic visitors granted leave for more than six months;
* visitors for private medical treatment;
* domestic workers in a private household;
* United Kingdom ancestry;
* retired persons of independent means;
* sole representatives;
* dependants where applicable and when applying at the same time;
* and those applying for a transfer of conditions

On 31 March the old student immigration categories will also be replaced by the new child student and adult student categories of the points-based system. Anyone applying to extend their stay in the United Kingdom in these new categories will also have to give their biometrics. This includes Postgraduate doctors and dentists who will have to apply in the new adult student category.
For more information and a table listing the categories affected please see identity cards for foreign nationals

Those applying for a transfer of conditions into a passport or other document will receive a card if successful, regardless of whether their category has been rolled out, meaning that any foreign national with limited permission to stay might hold a card as evidence of their right to be in the United Kingdom.
As the numbers of foreign nationals required to give their biometrics (fingerprints and photograph) increases, we are working to increase the number of biometric enrolment centres. There are currently seven offices around the United Kingdom - Croydon, Sheffield, Liverpool, Solihull, Cardiff, Glasgow and Armagh in Northern Ireland.

Over the next three years our plans are to provide identity cards to all non EEA nationals extending their permission to stay in the United Kingdom and those coming into the United Kingdom on visas for more than six months. By the end of 2014/15 about 90 per cent of all non EEA nationals will have been issued with a card.

ID cards will replace the stamps, stickers and other immigration status documents, enabling those here legally to prove it more easily and giving employers, sponsors and public service providers a simple, more secure way to prove a person's immigration status and eligibility to work, study or access benefits in the United Kingdom.

RNSNON's are a lot cheaper than RNS's and some investors may not monitor the TWIC site. Also, last year's FY trading statement wasn't until 11th April so may be 2-3 weeks before the update.

Found that RNSNON very odd???? We have all known about this for at least a month so why the need to update the market. Im not complaining but it seems a little odd to spend money to release news which is publically available and has been for some time. I can understand this is a big week for IGP so maybe they were just testing that the RNS process works before they make the bigger announcements in the coming days..... ;o)

Not entirely unexpected RNSNON today for holders here :o))

Good to see confirmation and IGP keeping the market informed anyway:

"Maritime Credentialing Program Update

Intercede, the producer of the MyID Identity and Credential Management System (IDCMS) software, is pleased to provide an update to the announcement made by the Company on 22 October 2008. Intercede can now confirm that more than one million personnel have been enrolled in the United States Department of Homeland Security's Transportation Worker Identification Credential program (TWIC). This is the world's largest maritime credentialing initiative and covers approximately 149 port locations nationwide.

The announcement made by the US Transport Security Administration (TSA) regarding this matter is located at It notes that more than 150 fixed enrollment centers will ultimately vet more than 1.2 million maritime transport workers by the compliance deadline of 14 April 2009."

Homeland security expanding in the usa.

ps LOOking forward to the results, in will be interesting to see if we have picked up more contracts in the last few months, we could be working on over 20 projects now, not bad as we were only working on 3 projects 18 months ago.

Its odd that no one else has converted their loans. Time is running out. The 2 months left before they are forced to do something. If it hasnt been sorted by the trading update, we will all still be in limbo as to what will happen.....

Maybe the loan note holders are waiting for the trading update as well before they play their cards????
