YES that was my trade, but im expecting a cluster of RNS this year, so im looking to pick up stock before the market wakes up to this.

with lockheed martin we should be involved with every secure usa project, which will be stacks. and also if they start updating driving licencers it will be massive for igp, they have got to be over 220 million amercian drivers.

and thales seem to picking all the global secure projects, and it looks like they will be involved heavyly in australia, africa, europe, so its all good news.

I guess that was your buy that just went through igoe at 32p - so for 16,129 shares you had to pay 2p over the current buy price. Scandalous if you ask me.

If you walk into a shop and see a price of something - you should only pay that price. Why do the MM's not play fair? otherwise increase the share price at least to mee the last buy price....then its fair to everyone.

Thanks for the post Igoe.

Re the last link - I am interested in the following para;

"...Lockheed Martin is the lead industry partner for several major government biometrics initiatives. Most recently, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) awarded the company the Next Generation Identification (NGI) program, which will expand the fingerprint capacity of the Bureau's current identification system and add in new capability: palm prints, iris and facial recognition. Lockheed Martin also is the prime contractor for the Transportation Security Administration's Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) program, which equips vetted maritime workers who require unescorted access to secure areas of ports and vessels with biometric credentials."

Could IGP also be involved in the NGI program??? This hasnt been annouced yet but could be a strong possiblity - if not theres still plenty of upside here and a very undervalued share price with all thats going on....

One of these days it will jump 40-50% and then everyone will be watching. Its a shame the share price needs that to get people interested.....

This one for you gmoney.
(I know you where asking about uk id card news)

igp will be involved in the uk national id card, as expected with thales.

The first contract, worth £18m, has been awarded to a French company, Thales SA, to help run an early pilot of the cards; they will be issued to some airport workers at the end of this year.

Looking good. Shame we are not in a bull market as the share price would normally be screaming ahead.

Igoe with that last news you posted I think that could be a big winner for IGP if Lockheed involved. IGP are almost certain to get part of that deal with the relationship they have with Lockheed now.....

That could be a very very interesting deal indeed....great find....

watch this space - bound to be a big contract for IGp which will fall onto the bottom line.....and before yr end??? That would be even better but I guess its not wise to get carried away with our selves....

hopefully something announced in the next few days....

I don,t think igp is a slow burner its the market holding this back, in a decent market this would probably be over 80p, now they are working on over 15 projects.
Looks like thales are involved in uk id card as well looking at the todays Rns, (which is what i expected anyway.)
which in cause be good news for igp, its looking like we will be picking up stacks of contracts in australia, usa, and have a big involvement africa. asia europe will be next.

(This contract builds upon our global success in national identity schemes, which include countries such as UK, Morocco, and many countries across Africa."

IGP is a slow burner but is tight as a knats chuff. It is boring watching and waiting but i d hate to try and buy in when it starts running.Hard enough when its standing still! You just have to nibble away and be patient. There is also the constant possibility of a knock out bid. All things come to he who waits...

Agreed fft about IGP being a slow-burner. Many thx to igoe, 237 etc for the news flow. At some point, possibly even following the next full year results, the market will click on to IGP and clock the cash, the contracts, the clients, the recurring income etc. Until then keep your shares close to your chest and wait!

Aphrodites,

you said it yourself. 'Potential'. It hasnt really happened yet, and will probably take a year or 2 more for it to happen. Therefore, many investors are probably thinking that this is one they can come back to in the future. i.e. invest elsewhere and then in a year or 2, make sure IGP is still doing ok, more green shoots coming closer into view and invest then. Unless there is a surprise blockbuster announcement, it is hard to see how the IGP pricing model can suddenly generate huge returns in the near future. It is, IMHO, a long term, slow burner.

Agreed fft as we now know thales have set up a new team in Austraila to sell more of their products in that region and Safesign is one they can sell again and again with very little outlay.

Is nice to see IGP keeping the market in the loop though as the market doesnt read this BB where the news usually gets posted first.

It must be terribly frustrating for a C.E. to work so hard to deliver the goods yet the share price of his company stagnates in a market which does not appreciate the significance and potential of what is in the pipe-line.

I have said so many times that IGP needs a couple of institutional investors on board with a meaningful stake and looking to buy more shares. This could probably only be brought about by IGP making an acquistion which needed it to raise cash.

It would also help if the company broker was more active in marketing IGP.

RNSNON which means the information in it is not financially significant regarding share price or full year figures. Normally used for releasing information that is considered useful into a wider sphere than just an update of the inhouse website.

In this case, IMHO, it is a heads up that big steps are anticipated.

Looks like we could be hopefully involved in a big USA army contract, with lockheed being involved.

The service's Biometric Task Force awarded the contract to: American Systems Corp. of Chantilly, Va.; Booz Allen Hamilton of McLean, Va.; CACI of Arlington, Va.; Cogent Systems of Pasadena, Calif.; Computer Sciences Corp. of Falls Church, Va.; Electronic Data Systems of Plano, Texas; Ideal Innovations Inc. of Arlington, Va.;( Lockheed Martin Corp.) of Bethesda, Md.; Los Angeles-based Northrop Grumman Corp.; Raytheon Co. of Waltham, Mass.; San Diego-based SAIC Corp.; and Telos Corp. of Ashburn, Va.

Good find igoe - IGP get Thales to do the leg work for them and pick up a nice fat cheque every time they sell a safesign product, great stuff.

Someone seems to be niggling away at the price though - very annoying. When do the UK government announce these UKID card contracts then???

Govt to review biometric immigration control system.

ps

That was my first thinking as well wcjj, but could they have been involved in this first.

(It also builds on the company's previous success providing access control solutions for the headquarters of a leading local retail group, )

Thales Safesign has MyID integrated into it.

It is likely this is the first Australian contract win they were referring to in the July update.
