16/11/2017 18:56 | Hi Boon - I see your point and have asked MH.KF says on LinkedIn - 3 new products and Xmas gift sets coming soon for Charles and Lee @ Myers and onlineI reckon - face scrub, shaving cream/lotion and aftershave balmNot sure if someone else has posted this already - if so apologies for repetition :) | croasdalelfc
16/11/2017 18:55 | I could be wrong, but if they're seriously going to launch in Australia then they have to hold stock there, which we won't have visibility on. | boonboon
16/11/2017 18:48 | I think what happens is that the website recognises what country you log in from and then displays stock for that country. So even if you choose AUD as currency it still shows the UK stock.I can't imagine someone ordering for Australia will be delivered from the UK. As you said it mentions nsw as the shipping location. So Australian stock must be held seperate to the UK (European) stock. I therefore believe we won't be able to track it. | boonboon
16/11/2017 18:37 | Hi Boon - after changing currency to AuD the website says in the checkout pageRoots Double Effect process all orders in GBP. While the content of your cart is currently displayed in AuD, you will checkout using GBP at the most current exchange rate | croasdalelfc
16/11/2017 18:30 | I don't think the Australian sales register on the DTC platform we can track. The website recognises the country you're in and probably uses the relevant stock. If you look at the cart it's got a gb under the individual bottle description, which to me indicates that it's UK stock. | boonboon
16/11/2017 18:17 | The roots DTC website says they are delivering in Australia via Australia Post - all products shipped from NSW 2567They also deliver to Germany France and Spain and Ireland almost certainly from UK.If we see an increase in DTC sales then it could be down to the start of Aussie rollout. Consistent DTC sales of £1000 a day by Xmas would be a good start | croasdalelfc
16/11/2017 14:42 | HC has repeatedly said we will be 2nd half weighted and this is as much about new product launches as it is for ST seasonality (in the UK). Do I am hoping for solid rather than spectacular growth. 2016 H1 produced £3.2 revenue and IDP has forecast year end growth of just over 50% (c9m to c14m revenue) so if this is applied a figure of c£5m will be in line with expectations. What I really want to know is the geographical mix of revenues as this was disappointing at year end but now US and Korea have had another 6 months. Similarly cash is king and the stock levels at £2m seemed quite high last time so hopefully there is more cash and less stock. Also if we get a break down it will be interesting to see the Roots numbers (can we get into 7 figures for the 6 months??) - this will show we are moving away from a 1 product company. I don't think we can expect much from Stevie K and C+L as their roll outs have been quite slow (although happy to be proved wrong). Incidentally the shampoo market is so competitive and full of big companies just getting any shelf space in a major retailer (SD) is quite an achievement for Roots. SD must have 100 plus shampoos whereas there are only 4 or 5 self tanning products. In terms of valuations P/E can be misleading for small high growth companies as a lot of expense is for Marketing and this could be cut quite quickly. IDP has 60% gross profit which is very good. A rule of thumb valuation used is c3 times revenues. Well surely ST must be c£10m now (as in 2016 it was still being rolled out in SD and had no ROI presence etc) so that values ST alone at c£30m. Therefore, the other products are being valued at almost zero. Get the other products flying in 2018 and then maybe ST and Roots in Boots UK for the start of 2019 and we have a £100m company. | shandypants1
16/11/2017 11:54 | I personally expect this first half year to be lower than last year's second half due to seasonality and the timing of launches, but am hoping I'm wrong. | boonboon
16/11/2017 11:41 | If you look at the Revenue profile for the last half years H1 2015/16 1.4m H2 2015/16 2.9m H1 2016/17 3.2m H2 2016/17 5.6m H1 2017/18 ? You can see why H1 2017/18 could well be over £6m considering we now have Roots, Stevie K, Charles + lee , 3 etailers, Boots Ireland, little bit of Lloyds etc. In fact the surprise would be if we weren't over £6m. As for H2 2017/18 you could easily make a case for that being over £11m . | ihatemms
16/11/2017 09:57 | Thanks boon and anony. £750 roots dtc sales. Very nice indeed. I am very confident roots dtc will one day be £10,000 per day.. and then more as time goes on. | thelongandtheshortandthetall
16/11/2017 09:56 | teddy, ok but if the share was a desirable one, would this manipulation still work? | the patient investor |
