30/7/2012 08:52 | nick100 - Good news on the sales front, seems to have given the share price a bit of a boost, almost at my break even point now :-) | losos
06/7/2012 15:11 | I sold some this morning ; can't see this going much higher for a while and seems a fair chance of a drop as it has been a bit volatile recently.Who knows? | wad collector
05/7/2012 21:31 | God bless the Shipping Forecast and the Long Wave. And that horribly early morning forecast. | wad collector
04/7/2012 09:48 | nick100 - I can remember the time when ocean going racing yachts had nothing but a compass and an old HF radio which only worked when the ionospere was in a good mood lol!!! | losos
02/7/2012 15:20 | wad collector - "what is so fundamentally different from £4 six weeks ago?" Don't know, maybe it's Anhars 'randomness' at work here !!! I do know my avg. buy price is about £5.10 so I shall be well pleased when (if?) it breaks through that one. The certainty of more QE together with lowering of ECB rates might have helped. | losos
02/7/2012 09:47 | That's an interesting looking rise this morning - looks like £5 is shortly going to be breached again. And what is so fundamentally different from £4 six weeks ago? | wad collector
20/6/2012 09:34 | nick100 - thanks for that link, I thought the 'multi-voice' service was not due to start until the end of 2012, maybe they have speeded it up due to the Light Squared fiasco, anyway good to see that customers are signing up in strength!!! | losos
19/6/2012 17:26 | Tempted to take a quick 20 % profit tomorrow.Been a good run ; don't want to push my luck. | wad collector
07/6/2012 16:09 | Nice little flip up today, that can't be down to hitting 30,000 active FleetBroadband customers but when they hit 60,000 they should be a lot higher (I hope lol) | losos
07/6/2012 10:53 | StockMarketWire.com Inmarsat - a leading provider of global mobile satellite communications services - now has 30,000 active FleetBroadband terminals in service. The milestone was reached with the installation of a FleetBroadband 500 on 'Olympic Future', a Greek-flagged crude oil tanker, by Inmarsat's distribution partner OTESAT-Maritel. Springfield Shipping, the vessel's management company, selected FleetBroadband as part of an integrated communications solution developed by OTESAT-Maritel. At 9:55am: (LON:ISAT) share price was +5.1p at 454.2p | sruthan
28/5/2012 08:09 | Jefferies International Upgrades To Buy. Target Up From 425 To 550. | enami
25/5/2012 12:26 | Looking at the Baltic Dry Index, shipping rates really can't get much lower. I take that to mean ships will be going less full, rather than less frequently. I would certainly want to see an improvement in the BDI rate though, to be confident of any significant upside potential to ISAT's business even though I remain positive on the core business. | edrifter
24/5/2012 10:32 | Worth holding off a while and looking at the chart it could fall a decent amount further - there wil be bounces on the way though. I am looking to add, but not yet. Wonder what impact slowing world trade will have. Less shipping. | timtom2
22/5/2012 09:36 | Salpara111 - ISAT wil not suffer in any way with the bankruptcy of Lightsquared apart from the loss of one income stream (albeit a juicy one) my understanding is that the Lightsquared deal was only intended to provide an income stream while customers migrated from the old, slower, but more costly services to the newer, faster, cheaper, new broadband services, the end result being a greater number of customers each paying less than before but overall revenue the same. ISAT just hired out some frequencies to Lightsquared, I hope I'm right in saying they were were in no way involved in the business or liable for any of Lightsquared debts. One could say that those frequencies are still ISAT property and since frequencies are like land (They don't make it anymore!) the time will come when they can use them in some other way and make money on them. | losos
19/5/2012 13:54 | Was tempted now it is back at its 5 year lows but the bankruptcy of Lightsquared has put me off. The underlying business is shrinking and they now loose a big chunk of their revenue stream so I can see this going lower. | salpara111
17/5/2012 08:39 | Done the same, bought more at 404, has been lower but impossible to catch it right.Does seem as though there should be more upside potential than down. Famous last words. | soi
16/5/2012 09:11 | Added at 404 ; I think these are a bargain now.Might drop further but hard to see these being £4 in a year or two. | wad collector |
