17/4/2012 08:33 | My limit buy triggered yesterday ; I fail to see what is materially different compared to 3 weeks ago.And yet the company has lost 10% of its value.Suits me! | wad collector
05/4/2012 11:06 | My 419p buy limit doesn't look as silly as it did a week ago.It is tumbling today. | wad collector
02/4/2012 20:38 | clutching at straws springs to mind. £4 before too long imho. | choppa
27/3/2012 11:18 | Rick Medlock was interviewed on Bloomberg this morning, he didn't sound too optimistic about ever getting the $26 million ISAT are owed from Lightsquared I think he said "Negotiations are continuing" usually means lock in deadlock lol But he was upbeat about Global Express which will give 50MB internet to ships, aircraft, and even tiny remote unheard of villages in countries no one has ever been too!!! Well I think he refered to them as land based customers in places like China and Brazil. But it's a year and a half away so bit early to celebrate now :-) | losos
14/3/2012 18:49 | Losos--hi, I agree, I take notice only so I may top up. | redips2
14/3/2012 15:44 | redips2 - Gave up taking any notice of big bank brokers guidance more than a decade ago, it has no relevance to what I call real investing lol | losos
13/3/2012 13:58 | these guys only downgrade so they can buy in cheaper at a later date. | redips2
13/3/2012 13:08 | Citigroup downgrades Inmarsat from neutral to sell, target price cut from 480p to 410p | enami
13/3/2012 13:04 | Didnt last long at £5 until the shorters were all over it imho. IC has it as a hold for now. | choppa
09/3/2012 12:52 | ygor - "Up through £5" Yaaaay on my breakeven, I didn't think it would get back there so quickly, I'm a happy bunny today :-) | losos
09/3/2012 09:08 | Up through £5.................. | ygor705
08/3/2012 20:49 | Losos.....yes, but! It was the owner of the company who annoyed the politicians not the company. A different owner might get a different answer - there are vested interests at work here I suspect. Also, if Lightsquared is such a basket case why has Carl Icahn been buying up its debt on the cheap? (see my post 1424) You may be right but I'm in the "not really sure" saloon at the moment and it is this issue that may be driving the occasional takeover rumours that we hear about ISAT. | ygor705
08/3/2012 16:21 | ygor705 - "change of ownership at Lightsquared." Who would want to take them over? IMO Lightsquared have got themselves right up the creek with no paddle!!! Annoyed the politicians, purchased frequency spectrum which interferes with other systems, made a contract with Sprint which they can't fullfill, and have no cash reserves. Not exactly take over target of the year lol. | losos
08/3/2012 14:35 | Chart looks quite good now and I'm presently treating Lightsquared as just an interesting distraction so far as ISAT is concerned with a weather eye out for potential litigation issues and change of ownership at Lightsquared. Either could prove positive or negativs for ISAT in the medium term. Other things I haven't quite got my mind round yet!!! | ygor705
08/3/2012 13:05 | Heading back to 500p - what a difference 2 days makes.I guess the uncertainty about Lightsquared was what the market didn't like, even if the certainty is unappealing. | wad collector
08/3/2012 11:13 | Enami - Thanks for that link, it's the end for Lightsquared. What interests me is that Sprint appear to have had some idea about difficulties with spectrum interference issues other wise they would surely have negotiated with the FCC themselves. Based on my experience in the telecoms industry it seems clear that Mr. Falcone had no technical knowledge and all the money in the world will not alter basic physical facts. | losos
07/3/2012 13:35 | DOING WELL TODAY - BUT - "Sprint May End Deal With LightSquared" | enami
07/3/2012 11:53 | ygor705 - "but tomorrow's another day!" It certainly is, up 4.5% already, almost back to yesterdays start, some panic somewhere 'tho we'll never know the reason I guess!!! | losos
06/3/2012 18:20 | Not a lot of volume behind the fall and the results are more or less in line with expectations. Biggish put through at 472p at the end of the day I noticed - something else I don't follow. Bad day all round for markets but tomorrow's another day! | ygor705
06/3/2012 16:50 | Looks like a buy opportunity to me - I just set my limit at 420p - may not trigger it but you never know.. | wad collector
06/3/2012 16:24 | Have taken a dive this afternoon, is that down to the US market taking a dislike to ISAT because of the Lightsquared connection, doesn't seem to have much logic to it IMO. | losos
06/3/2012 16:10 | Enami...this was tucked away in the accounts and I cannot square it with the US$270m statement re returning capital to shareholders:- Share repurchase programme On 4 August 2011, we announced a share repurchase programme of up to US$250m, with a target implementation period of 12 months. As of 31 December 2011, 13.9m ordinary shares have been repurchased at a total cost of US$98.4m. | ygor705
06/3/2012 14:08 | ygor a $250m share repurchase programme was announced at the interim results last year. The last purchase was in December. If the have done $270m then it is more than expected. | enami |
