If the p3 results are expected to be so good why not wait until the share price is much higher on fantastic trial results before agreeing to a huge placing at 144p? More likely the results are priced in and we can expect heavy selling into the news as experienced holders lock in gains. Reality is a lot of time and money to put in here before a product ever gets near patients outside a trial setting.

Also how can the drop in share price be "completely overdone" - the share price has simply dropped to the level at which the placement for a 10m raise was agreed, seems very reasonable to me.

JpThe age of TP isn't the issue here. The people running it have been working in the industry for years.I run a business and if clients had taken your view when I first started the company wouldn't be entering our 12th year.H

It makes me laugh. When pi's claim they have top sliced their position to reduce their risk it is invariably applauded but when the company does the same thing it is treated with scorn. The company has done absolutely the right thing. The drop in share price is completely overdone. II's would not have invested if there was any suggestion that the results of the trial were known (unblinded). A 5% dilution will have little impact if the trial is a success but the additional £10m could save the company if the results are negative.

Added multiple batches across several accounts today, an absolute gift! Think about it (City MO), good results or not the share price will be a lot higher in the next few weeks.

Yes I'm sure a few got a heads up on this and will have two bites of the cake. However the fact remains the shares were placed at a reasonably high price even so.

Well having had one stop triggered this am I can't say I'm the happiest...

However:

They were approached, they did not go out seeking funds.
The institutions must have been confident to invest £10mln at 144p given the pivotal P3 results are scheduled to be announced within the next 10 weeks.

Clearly those partaking have been forward selling stock at c.170p over the past week

Will see how this now pans out share price wise over the next few weeks, but hopefully those who didn't get exactly what they wanted will be topping up at these prices

Added more @ 145 earlier, seemed to make sense if institutions have invested £10M

Best ignore the noise, I have been doing that since 52p and there certainly has been an awful lot of noise on each plateau before the next leg up.

It will be pleasing for Tim to comment further on the institutional placing to provide reassurance

Surely this could turn out to be a great buying opportunity ?

If bad news had some how leaked etc sure the price would have plummeted a lot further which means no one knows the results
Im happy more institution money as they are more in the know than we are

Seems to me the management have just done the same as anyone else and de risked , they would be very foolish if they hadn't

and i also like the fact that they are not under pressure to accept a deal and could now easily license the drug (or been seen to be doing that )which makes there bargaining position a lot stronger

ImmuPharma PLC (LSE:IMM), the specialist drug discovery and development
company, is pleased to announce that, in response to institutional demand

"in response to institutional demand"

Well my question to Tim is, why didn't they pay at or above the market price if these II demand was so high. Its more like Tim/BOD went with begging bowl in their hand for this....is written all over this.

I'm out banked my profit, as can't trust any rubbish coming out of Tim's mouth.

"Tim must have been pretty persuasive."

Depending how many got the heads up and lowered their holding to pay for the new issue.

volsung.

IMM is not the Titanic. I was tempted at 8 am today to get out. Commonsense prevailed and I decided possibly the placing was a shrewd move. If you consider the allocation of options recently by the BOD to IMM employees.

The upside is investors were willing to pay 144p just before critical p3 results. Tim must have been pretty persuasive. That's good enough for me. My av is still well below 144p.

Reminiscent of all those that have gone before :))

Phyto, Cen, oxb, skp, sun, British Biotec, Cel, Cotrc - I can't remember them all, just that they all kept pulling in money for Blockbusters that never busted anything but PI's pockets.

Much as I do with SUN, I'll keep a few just in case - but it's a punt no more no less.

Looks like the trolls have arrived to cheat people out of a potentially enormous reward. The CEO does not know the results yet, what he has done is prudent risk management, if he has said they have no plans to raise then that's a bit cheeky tbh, but most CEO's say similar things at one point or another. Don't lose sight of the prize which could be life changing for many
