Nothing is guaranteed, 1.82 recommended by board, you'll need to wait for your money, could be 2-3 months maybe. In a day or two would expect price to settle around 1.78 ish. Markets play games, their only interest is churning and making money.

How irrevocable are any undertakings given to Canyon by the major holders? If a hostile take over requires 90% of shares to get through then some major holders would need to change their mind so would they be able to? I guess that it means that, given Apple's holding, a rival bid is unlikely to come in and if it does it would need to be at a significant premium to the 182 bid?

20.6m traded, last trade 169.50, offer side 300k @ 169.5 to 172, not moving up further anytime soon.

Think of it logically

If it was at 182p or above then you'd all sell rather than wait, job done.

The market knows this and knows they can get some discounted. Simple stuff really they are the ones that will cash in on the margin by holding.

Spotteed this in the RNS this morning which I don't recall seeing before:

"the Scheme will become Effective in mid-November 2017, subject to the satisfaction of all relevant conditions"

So it looks like the "Scheme Date" could be mid November.


And you just have to laugh at this note from this morning - talk about lack of credibility:

"Broker Forecast - Liberum Capital issues a broker note on Imagination Technologies Group PLC
Liberum Capital today reaffirms its buy investment rating on Imagination Technologies Group PLC (LON:IMG) and cut its price target to 182p (from 193p)."

This mornings share price has just confirmed to me the madness of the stock- market, nothing else, other than its beyond rationale belief sometimes ;-)
Will take the 182p or more when the deal is closed
And I WILL be voting YES as long as I can get Barclays nominees to do the biz

I watched this on SSL when they were bought by RB.

The market knows many will take a discount and sell instead of wait for the full return etc.

Yes amusing to see some short including Lombard odier who have been selling small caps they hold and knocking their price back.
