There are currently four ongoing licensing negotiations and management is confident that they will be able to secure at least one deal this year – maybe even in the next few months.A manufacturer has been signed up in readiness for commercial agreements sparking demand for batteries to be produced.

I am not invested here, I am just visiting, I don't have a clue about what Sterarax is, I was just pointing out that any Patents are available for all to see. I am keeping well clear of the stock market as it lost me my pension! Should have invested in self, not AIM via SIPP. Lots of crooks about!

Ilika already has contracted revenues of £4.9 million over the next 30 months and capital investment should peak this year. This means that Ilika has the finance it requires to secure licensing deals and supply the batteries

Hyper Al,
Yes, they have patents but those all relate to the Sterarax program.
nw99, Yes, many of my posts are negative...but not all.
Do the research and find out for yourself.

Hornblower, After the fiscal year end last year, Ilika was awarded a $5.17 million grant from Faraday Challenge to develop large format solid state batteries for autos. This will be in collaboration with Honda, Ricardo, McLaren, and A123 Batteries. In the future, revenue generation will come from three areas:Development projects that are funded either by the company and its partners or by grants from organizations, governments, and/or educational institutionsIntellectual Property (IP) licensingRoyalties from products that use Ilika's IPRight now the company is in its first phase, which means all revenue comes from development projects. But in the years ahead, the IP licensing and royalty streams could make up a large portion of total revenue. So it is early stage. Think about what another company would pay for the rights to license solid state battery technology for its products. It doesn't matter if the product is as large as a vehicle or as small as a few millimeters on an IoT device. I think Ilika could potentially see hundreds of millions of dollars annually in licensing and royalties. In other words, the upside is nearly limitless

O/T FD, Thetons in control so it seems. I did sell out of ISA holding but added to main account. Hope the conversion is painless. Outsiders should be aware of the current dire situation re the antibiotic market.

I'd be interested to know about that company. Does it have a UK quote?

The Scientologists shall inherit the Earth oops, sorry, I mean the the company, waterloo!
Many on AIM are selling up rather than have the hassle and cost of moving to ADRs. Mind you, the current relative prices look as good as it will be.
If feel the pipeline value is at least worth twice current price but we have lost control.
Concerning IKA I agree that research grant dependency is always a worry. Mind you, you can never have enough Grants!. Directly and indirectly I have a seven figure sum in comparable company (automotive/electric motor and aerospace light-weighting metal matrix business) but if they get through to commercialisation then the sky is the limit.
Trust you are well. Good to hear from Hyper Al wasn’t it.

Hello both.

I keep an eye on Ilika but not yet invested. Would like to see more progress outside of grants. Seems more a university style company.

O/T FD, Would be interested in your views of current moves re SMMT

Hyper. I didn’t know enough about supercapacitors so went to the ELEMENTS site on YouTube. I’m very impressed by the polymer technology that can compete with lithium ion. Only downside appears to be a modest increase in volume but safe, cheaper and could well be the future. Many thanks for the lead.

Hyper. How nice to hear from you.
NB is very much a summer activity these days. Thanks to global warming! I was in the sea again after giving it a miss the previous year.
I know you moved but are you still nearby?
Thanks for your insight on the battery front. I shall continue to watch but I do like the application in IOT. EVs seem a bit more risky.
All the best to you and your family and hope to see you in NB this summer.
