02/7/2012 16:41 | Brokerlink initiated coverage of IDEA today. Their forecasts for year ended and 2013 are v similar to the finnCap forecasts in the header. 04/2012 EPS 1.16p PTP £1.04m 04/2013 EPS 1.66p PTP £1.70m They summarise the investment case by saying, "Ideagen appears to be well positioned in a growth market. The shares trade on a modest p/e ratio and with organic growth over the longer term likely to be sup- plemented by acquisitions, there is plenty of scope for upside. Putting the shares on a p/e ratio of 12x for 2013 would suggest a share price target of 20p, an increase of over 42% from the current level." Regards, GHF | glasshalfull
02/7/2012 09:22 | This mornings TechMarketView. Ideagen joins AIM Anthony Miller, 08:17, 02 July 2012 It looks like we were a tad previous at the end of last year in describing Matlock-based Ideagen, the self-styled 'leading supplier of On-Demand Information and Compliance Solutions', as having recently listed on AIM (see UK Ideagen acquires Proquis and a hefty US contract) as that momentous event only happened today. Just under 40% of the stock will be in public hands. Ideagen was founded in 1993 as an enterprise content management consultancy and floated on the fledgling UK market, PLUS (as Datum International) in 2005. Ideagen became a plc in 2010. It's still tiny revenues last year (to 30th April 2011) were £2.3m, but the company is profitable, with an 11.7% operating margin. Ideagen has so far made three acquisitions. Ideagen provides its products both on premise and on a SaaS basis. But it's a minnow swimming with whales, including the likes of Open Text, Stellent and Autonomy. Nonetheless, congrats to the management team and jolly good luck! This is the second UK SITS IPO this year, following just a month behind that of Sheffield/Silicon Valley-based WANdisco (see WANdisco steps out onto the AIM dancefloor), the (also self-styled) 'leading provider of global collaboration software'. WANdisco's shares have risen nearly 20% since listing. Regards, GHF | glasshalfull
02/7/2012 09:02 | Probably take a few days before all the brokers and investment sites catch up and update ticker... I'm going to gee up Hargreaves Pantsdown.. | stegrego

16/9/2007 09:19 | :) Made a few bob on shorting these and BDEV too. Good call to get out of shorting CWD into shorting BB I agree LOL! My trading instincts are getting much better these days. | aerotus
15/9/2007 06:03 | Super timing Aerotus - well called! | dysonhooverman
21/3/2007 08:10 | Switched out of CWD and shorting more BB. Surely can only go down from here! | aerotus
19/3/2007 08:09 | Just put 2 small shorts on BLND and BB this morning. Time to wait a few months now. | aerotus
17/3/2007 23:58 | Other large companies to short to benefit from a downturn in the housing market are: BLND - British Land (Developer) PSN - Persimmon (House Builder) BB - Bradford and Bingley (Mortgage Lender) | aerotus
15/3/2007 08:33 | Just took out a small short on CWD for fun at just 598p | aerotus
14/3/2007 19:57 | Just looking at Rightmove (RMV). Recent Director sells too? The chart looks very ripe for shorting. If that support level is breached, its a long fall down! Damn damn, you can't short them with IG. I'm really disappointed!! Just you watch they are going to plummet this year now. =( | aerotus
14/3/2007 19:22 | CWD currently 590p. Its held up recently due to the bid approaches from 3i and Apollo for around 590p. There has been some news articles about bullish house prices but to be honest, I have seen far too much contrary news to pay any attention. This bubble is going to burst sooner or later. And 590p is a good cap at the moment as the price offered from private equity firms. I will keep doing my research and probably put a short on soon. | aerotus
14/3/2007 18:45 | s50cam, yep still in GOO, staying for the long-term. I originally brought at around 5p then doubled up on July 7th 2005 at 2.75p, so average 4p. I think it could be a great share in the future, plus I'll get the full CGT relief from this summer onwards. Aerotus, personally i wouldn't short CWD, something strange is happening with that one. I thought it was a compelling thought at £5, now it would seem even more so with so many people selling up, but someone behind the scenes is propping it up successfully so far. | stuart14
14/3/2007 18:39 | CWD: The group today said full year pretax profit hit 113.8 mln stg from 31.7 mln stg in 2005, and January and February new business has broadly met expectations. More than a tripling of profit in 2 years! If thats not a bubble, I don't know what it is! The housing market may rise for a while longer, but the downside is far more attractive than the short term up side! | aerotus
14/3/2007 18:30 | Please post the company ticker and any reasons for a good short. I'll look into Countrywide. (CWD). Any other similar competitors for CWD I can compare with? | aerotus
14/3/2007 18:20 | Stuart I am down in Broadstairs which I should imagine is quite a bit less expensive. I just want to get into a rented house and see how it all pans out, besides I could rent a house for alot less than my mortgage ! I often see you over at Gold Oil but I dont post. What did you buy at, are you still in ? | s50cam
14/3/2007 17:25 | s50cam, I also live in Kent. Don't own a house though. T.Wells is just too pricey now. | stuart14
14/3/2007 17:23 | Godd idea Aerotus. I have been thinking about this myself. Like Stuart I dont think you could rely on the IG Index route. I was thinking this morning that Rightmove or Countrywide and any other large estate agents might be good stocks to short. However there are very mixed signals coming from the market, on the one side we have articles in the last couple of days from economists suggesting that we are near the end, and that interest rates must rise considerably to prevent a crash. And on the other we have housebuilders like Linden reporting today that sales are up 55% year on year. Personally my house is under offer, and I pray that it sells or at least exchanges very quickly as I am very uncomfortable with prices now (I live in Kent), however I am not sure I have the balls to look at shorts just yet. | s50cam
14/3/2007 17:14 | Anybody know any overvalued building and construction stocks? | aerotus
14/3/2007 07:45 | I believe you can bet on the average house price with IG Index, although you'd have to believe the data they use! | stuart14
05/2/2007 14:18 | Yes. I have such an idea. But it will cost you Pds.100,000 to heard it | energyi
17/1/2005 10:53 | A very profitable business will be a hair salon. | arpyd_offagain
17/1/2005 10:43 | Any more ideas out there.....?? whats the next new toy ?....kiddies scooters...done....m | thameshead |
