12/1/2005 14:08 | I applied for a patent but stopped the process after a basic patent search showed a similar idea already existed. Although similar I think my idea which I got to model stage, is far more efficient. I reckon I could possibly get a registered design, not as powerful as a patent but still useful but for now it's on the back burner with 101 other things. You should get a team of lateral thinkers together in a room and brain storm for ideas. | ricardox

12/1/2005 13:23 | Thames, Poker face to face I think would attract players who are regular offline players, although I think it would have to be optional - players ducking out of view from the camera is bound to occur! I think I'd probably try it, a lot of people play for fun rather than profit and it would be a unique feature. | moves
12/1/2005 13:19 | jlrussell, got it, thanks, will keep a note of it, you never know ! You can delete it if you like. | thameshead

12/1/2005 12:48 | Opthalmist. scrabble and monopoly are aimed at younger audiences, scrabble does have a skill element but board games are generally chance, why would regular casino players switch? Playing against other people, like poker, is the future of gambling IMO. Betfair promtes itself (or used to) with a "beating other punters" mentality. I think a unique poker room... perhaps as net connections are always improving, a video feed for players to show their faces instead of images/avatars?... would do very well. | moves

12/1/2005 12:37 | I think there is plenty of scope in gambling games where you play other people, such as poker, rather than other forms of online gambling. How about scrabble, monopoly with real cash, etc? | opthalmist
