Is it PC to call a pudding "black"? Surely puddings have acquired human rights by now? And is white pudding a supremacist form of subliminal bullying? Bring back Blair and let his expensive Mrs sort it all out in the ECJ.

Blimey! I'm feeling hungry just reading this BB having headed back from the slopper for a bite of Sunday lunch*.

Much as it pains me to say it - The French do make some amazing boudin noir! Really good with scrambled oeufs!

*Strangely French too...Confit d'Oie!

Does not sound too good to me this week, there has not been a decent weather window since the "rope" or whatever it was failed!

Breakfast of dumplings, dim sum and congee seems to be equally not to my liking here in Hanoi

Don't get your hopes up for no wind in March in the North Sea. Living here all my life and March Winds and April showers never change. Hope it's not the case but history says otherwise...

The AM would aim to face into the swells, as those are generally going to be the biggest influence on movement. The difficulties come where the wind, and the local waves, come from a different direction from the swells, as they frequently do. Swells travel long distances and don't reflect local wind conditions. If there is a strong wind, and hence waves, at right angles to the swell direction then it's impossible to face both and the AM will roll as well as pitch, making the pull in tricky.

From that point of view Wed or Fri currently looks possibly better than Thurs, as thought the swells are forecast to be small on Thurs, there are significant waves, up to 4m+ at right angles.

never heard of it before now:

'Stornoway black pudding has been called "the best sausage made in the UK" and "one of the finest blood puddings the world has to offer".

With all those deliveries he's probably on the AM!
Cinnamon porridge for me, a little late for breakfast I know! Oh I almost forgot and Orkney crab terrine on toast earlier, that's my bit for boosting the local economy lol.

Yes definitely and I guess the AM would face into the wind, although probably a combination of factors to some extent. I've noticed that low swell is quite often accompanied by windy conditions although not on Friday (as the forecast stands at the moment).

Yes looking like two chances this week, at least as regards swell, as Bounty points out.

I think swell is more important than wind strength.
