19/11/2018 13:14 | Looks like Hurricanes PR machine is starting to warm up after months of saying little. If I was to guess their PR timetable looks like this? Warm up piece today saying everything on track Post Rotterdam, a release saying all engineering and certification have now been completed and thanks to all the suppliers Arrival WOS release saying very little Hook up release with first oil due in Q1 First oil confirmation release First oil arrives in Scotland with tartan clad politicians and hard hats for photos. Also a couple of dozen institutional presentations to move the share price and get Hurricane out of the cheap takeover target danger zone. The PR people are going to have plenty to do. | davidblack
19/11/2018 13:07 | Thanks ,better understanding of the timeline to FOIL. | gary38
19/11/2018 12:55 | That is debatable as AM left in the afternoon not in the morning( as we know previous departures of AM) plus the whole concept of a mole on board and Fatnackers concerns.I think you should come on board and ask Puffet to explain what works will take 2 weeks to be completed in Rotterdam.I ask someone to ask you the above question but l did not get a answer,so you may not have been asked, but l am now asking you to explain the above. | gary38

19/11/2018 12:53 | Nice little article from Ms Dosh on the lse, might make some of our shorters think twice. | korvet
19/11/2018 12:11 | Because small changes in the oil price seem to disproportionately affect Hurricane. | davidblack
19/11/2018 12:04 | Why on Earth would anyone want to use Hurricane as a 'leverage short on the oil price' ? Makes no sense to me at all. | stepone68
19/11/2018 11:55 | Our shorting friends and there are a lot more of them than just the 2.44% over the 0.5% disclosure level, when they start buying back to close should make the share price movement a matter of weeks not months. Those Profesional investors after all are just as happy to ride any upward momentum as the downward, especially when there is a nice “Insurance policy” of other slower shorters who need to close when the change comes. But first oil first! | davidblack
19/11/2018 11:37 | I hope you are right DB but after hookup and flowing oil the FB monkey that is on our back will be something that will take sometime to clear and convince some that is a workable and feasible concept in the UK. Hopefully this will clear soon after (6 -12 months of production) and lead to a substantial rerate | greenmachine1
19/11/2018 11:32 | My guess is once Hurricane is cashflow positive which should be within weeks of the hook up that sentiment will change as the brokers bring in big buyers who are happy to have exploration upside but want to see that Hurricane is passed any technical problems similar to those which were experienced by PMO, who are literally our next door neighbours. Also Hurricane is a shorters target because the story here is completely laid out and not subject to “Good surprises news” from drilling for now. Plus it has huge liquidity here which is not that easy to find on AIM oil stocks. Anyway hopefully they will have to buy back very expensively if we get hook up in the first couple of months of 2019. | davidblack
19/11/2018 11:15 | Marshall Wace have increased their short by 2m shares to 0.7% giving an overall declared short of 2.44%. No doubt there are more under the 0.5% declaration threshold. Interesting if they are using Hurricane as a leveraged short on the oil price. Hopefully it will bite them on the ass. | davidblack
19/11/2018 10:42 | I feel we have a spread of hedgers shorting us and oily plays in general. We are very susceptible for this as we are yet to produce. My feeling is still we will be feeling shorters pain all the way to foil, my, and many others here, previous assumption was that we would "step" up our share price as we closed off certain mile stones. However this certainly does not seem to be the case. I expect us to be sitting where we are with a few dis below 40p until hook up. Even then we will be in volatile territory until we have that RNS that flow is established at X Bopd. Just a better opportunity to top up at low prices. | telbap
19/11/2018 10:20 | Picked up some shares last week after adjusting my portfolio, still adjusting portfolio to buy some more here while price is so low and so near FOIL. | gary38
19/11/2018 09:59 | I thought that someone would have had to own up to the AT sells by now. A hell of a lot gone through since the last RNS. Hopefully it won't be long before they regret having sold. Nice to see the AM making such good progress. Should start crossing the Bay of Biscay soon. | the guardian
19/11/2018 07:59 | Calm down dears!!! The ship is on it's way to Rotterdam, Puffets info is hardly price sensitive. What will give the share price a boost is when it arrives WOS and then the important speculation will start ie When will it hook up and start FOIL. | buzzzzzzzz
19/11/2018 05:50 | The AM ,has past portugal and is in Spain off Ferrol . with a full head of steam | robinoman
18/11/2018 23:36 | Yes that FT article on Ineos is interesting Pensioner2 (they mention 7.5%, rather than 6.5% of Clair) Not much of a leap of faith to add Ineos to the list of potential acquirers for part or all of Hurricane! | xxnjr1
18/11/2018 23:13 | Rotherham's more convenient than Rotterdam as the ship's going to Lancaster afterwards. They can just put it on a train. | hiddendepths
18/11/2018 21:32 | Jim Ratcliffe looking to buy Conoco Philip's 6.5% of Clair field. | pensioner2

18/11/2018 19:40 | Don't then. | bountyhunter
18/11/2018 19:39 | It's OK, I wasn't being serious. If I don't know the AM's position for an hour, a day, or even a week or two I'm not going to worry. | v11slr
18/11/2018 19:37 | Last report Nov 18, 2018 19:34 UTC ...that's just 3 mins ago They probably deliberately switched off the signal while passing Yemen for security reasons? | bountyhunter |
