contour lines: If you're looking at any of the seismic images from the Hurricane website/presentations, I think you'll find that the difference in the lower contours is just where they've photoshopped a screen print of the graphics from their model.

The contour lines at Halifax actually shows it to be deeper than Lancaster. I've said that before.😡

It's heaven to come home to a share price rise worth coming home for.😇

Phew! Managed to unwind one of my spread bets for a pleasant profit, the other one higher up is not far off yielding me some coin too - that didn't seem very likely in the gloomy days of PoO collapse a week ago.

The trading out the way, I'll then be pleased to contemplate the major £'00s being added to my actual holding if the news goes the way some seem to be inferring it will.

Jolly good luck to everyone; I hope we won't need it frankly.

"You would only suspend for reentry / turning into a producer at a later date."

I agree with your logic, but I've encountered E&P companies which have had a policy of NOT plugging and abandoning wells even when it was blindingly obvious that they would never get used again. Mobil North Sea for example followed this approach and amassed a large portfolio of wells all which had been given a temporary closure and which would need to be revisited and permanently sealed at some point in the future. It was v difficult and expensive to locate temporary closures after the passage of time, and the accumulation of sediment, so the cost implications were non-trivial.

Just saying.

"I reckon it's one large field, goes deeper than the first CPR stated and has a higher recovery rate, so your 1.5bn recoverable *may* look on the low side."

Cinques - Can you RNS that please;-)

I reckon it's one large field, goes deeper than the first CPR stated and has a higher recovery rate, so your 1.5bn recoverable *may* look on the low side.

Shell acquiring so many nearby blocks tells us that when this goes up for sale, it's going to get a high price.

Cinques, we are all waiting for confirmation me included. I don't know it's one connected field but the information we have to date to me is very suggestive. In my opinion the COS has gone above 80%.

I doubt that. It may even be Monday so they can put all the Technicals together.

AIM rules are 25% price change, now where near their yet.

There may be more than one RNS in the coming days..... Halifax, Lancaster CPR & maybe news on EPS funding? Or one big RNS?

Ngms27,

Correct. There is a pink line indicating the trajectory and rough depth of the last Lancaster well, it end around 1,800-1,820m.

They have held this info back while getting Halifax license from oga.

The Q1 presentation suggests that the last Lancaster vertical was drilled beyond 1781m TVDSS and established ODT at least 1620m but the RNS suggests it maybe over 20m deeper according to logs.

Thus it does look to me that Halifax was drilled to a very similar depth. Personally I'm convinced it's one field, what we don't know is how good the fracture network is etc, but this looks very promising.
