20/3/2017 21:11 | Nicebut,Having been an investor in GKP years ago, 2008-2010, I can safely say they are world's apart from Hur. Having large resources is only any good if you can extract it legally, securely and get paid for doing so. But you do raise a question which we all need to ponder, but only management can answer re. funding of the development. Sometimes dilution is better in order to maintain control of the assetbase and grow it. Thus far, this apprpach has served HUR well.At this stage however, I would like to see a suitable partner take a stake in one of the newly registered companies and spare Hurricane from diluting its shareholders or being forced to turn to lenders, who will try their utmost to usher the assets away for themselves.Cash | cashandcard
20/3/2017 21:08 | Rumour has it Leeson will single handedly take control of all UKs brexit negotiations. | rackers1
20/3/2017 21:04 | Some bargains to be had in Kurdistan prices are baked in with risks now if anything it's over baked. Personally I much prefer genl to gkp..That said as others point out it's not a comparison that's relevant here..I'm gonna say rns tomorrow :) Fingers crossed it's the blockbuster we all hope for. | gregpeck7
20/3/2017 20:55 | ...and probably the most significant reason that no M&A has taken place in Kurdistan is the Ministry of Natural Resources itself; a personal enrichment scheme for a handful of bent politicians who have choked producers to death, stolen back the licences, whilst lining their own pockets with the proceeds from illegal exports. All before they have even established a status as a viable oil economy. That has clearly represented a major barrier to consolidation in the region. It doesn't really reflect what we can expect from the OGA, and what potential suitors can expect when operating in the WoS region. So yes, on reflection, I'd say that that comparison doesn't stand critical scrutiny. | terry hardacre
20/3/2017 19:39 | Leeson, my mate in the pub said you were in there last night claiming to have spudded the well yourself. Is that right? | sheep_herder
20/3/2017 19:02 | I'm fine, I just don't like liars. | wessexmario
20/3/2017 18:48 | Calm down fellas... yes I read it here.... I then spoke to a mate in the UK who runs a csp co who would be able to confirm the info for me which he did. I live in the imo and the equivalent gov't dept is called general companies registry... get over yourself! | leeson31
20/3/2017 18:26 | Leeson, You shouldn't have claimed to have done the research yourself, as I have the original text file copy of that table here on my PC. I posted it on LSE (Tuesday 09:24) and someone else then copied it here half an hour later. (post 16239) I don't mind sharing my research, if I post something then it's public domain, but that doesn't mean you can claim someone else's work as your own. You don't even know where the data came from (WTF is 'Uk general companies regsitry'?) but I'm easy, no hard feelings, I can tell you for your education that it's called Companies House. | wessexmario
20/3/2017 17:58 | I hope today's share price action didn't shake any of you out?! | rayrac
20/3/2017 17:46 | and as collateral | odvod
20/3/2017 17:45 | Not necessarily just for selling an asset. It can more often be used to make it easier to manage the finances and assets when arranging contracts, farmins and the like. | wessexmario
20/3/2017 16:54 | I understand nicebut in terms of being cynical. I am too. I do think HUR or perfectly ran though.... Yes I speculate on the reasoning but not the fact they've rearranged the asset structure but my experience tells me it so they can sell an asset... cheerd | leeson31
20/3/2017 16:49 | I`ve emailed the Co to ask. | nicebut
20/3/2017 16:47 | This has already been a hugely successful drilling campaign for Hurricane and the Halifax Well marks an exciting opportunity with which to close it . Not long nowVery interesting Leeson. | gary38
20/3/2017 16:47 | Leeson thank you. They have done this I presume because they know the strategic outcome already. And by deductive thinking it is easy to guess the final outcome. And I like it. Very much. | kaos3
20/3/2017 16:47 | Leeson, this is old news. It was posted last week! Buffy | buffythebuffoon
20/3/2017 16:45 | Nicebut, you're being a bit harsh on old Malcy. He's been around a long time, and is not just a big bloke that eats a lot. He's very knowledgable about the O&G business, and he can down beer and wine like the best of them. Buffy | buffythebuffoon
20/3/2017 16:43 | Or they want you to `think` its for `ease of sale`? Well spotted BTW. Have you actually asked the Co why they`ve done it or are you speculating? :) Sorry Leeson I`ve gotten very cynical is my old age- I researched GKP, I even phoned lawyers in switzerland but it didn`t do me any good because they can lie- what can you do? (talking another Co obviously) | nicebut
20/3/2017 16:41 | Nice find Leeson! | mike_f
20/3/2017 16:39 | its easier for example, to say, let BP. have X% of the shares/equity within Hurricane GLA Ltd, rather than stipulate the % of a permit within HUR PLC, so in essence the permits/assets are now all boxed of into separate wholey owned subsidiary companies... any new assets/permits can go into the holdings company.... we should expect news on this in terms of a strategy i would say.. | leeson31
20/3/2017 16:33 | Why have they done that? I must`ve missed the RNS | nicebut |
