hi ngms27, if halifax is a separate accumalation, then i guess having two separate permits isnt too bad at all as part of their overall portfolio of derisking assets, but of course, it would be great if they are connected as that would infur a ~25km long field !? running up the rona ridge..... if so, thats easily 2b barrels one would think just on these two permits..

Ngms....why do you think it is a separate accumulation, Halifax and Lancaster that is?

Lots of talk on the other board as to just how big this could get.
To my mind Halifax is more of an appraisal well than an exploration one.

If Halifax is connected to Lancaster and its one big field then decimal points will need shifting to the right. More than that though is that it would indicate the entire Rona ridge is one giant field and this will then get political.

It's worth remembering the plan.

1) Drill Halifax within structure closure and carry out a DST if required (though they suggested this would happen!)
2) Drill Halifax deeper to find the OWC

However 1) will indicate if the Oil is the same API and the pressure gradient is consistent with Lancaster.

I still say the odds are against this, but hopefully I'm wrong. My expected result is a separate accumulation

Soggy,

News expected:
1. Initial Halifax result indicating oil or no oil. If oil is found we will get overview details. I am expecting this in the next week or so.
2. Detailed Lincoln numbers.
3. Lancaster CPR
4. EPS / Farmin details
5. Halifax detailed results

"Drilling on Halifax will be ending soon."

Presumably the T20 boys will be back with a vengeance before too long.

IMO Halifax is THE big one for HUR. If it comes in as both substantial and part of the Lancaster field, we have a multi billion barrel accumulation and the sky's the limit. Even if it doesn't, the shares are undervalued. But if it does........

I am very excited about this and holding my breath (I seem to have gone a funny blue colour).

sheep herder various posters asked for vessel movements re previous drills, so its more of a continuation of what progress is being made at the rig, I used to post these details to keep the thread alive as not many posts here, agreed this only a supply boat sometimes we use ahv etc so you can get a bit of an angle to progress, I wont post as much now as drilling on Halifax will be ending soon

Davidblack - lol. So people don't think the company is working unless a tug boat is running. Ha. The cynical mind of a PI.

can someone remind me, what's the next piece of news we're expecting? I'm going to be adding to my position, just wondering when I need to have money in place.

Which is much more than we get from the Company.

???

Do you seriously expect to be RNS'd on routine supply vessel movements??

Anyway, for those hopeful that they will have a pop at Warwick next, I'm afraid that doesn't look likely. Repsol are still due to become the Transocean Spitsbergen customer in March:

Well it tells us there is activity in a third party verified way. Which is much more than we get from the Company.

I see HUR as one of life's opportunities. Of course there's associated risk but I'm with Malcy and others on here. At some point not too far into the future, I see HUR in the low £'s and I don't want be be sat here thinking 'I wish I had'.

Agreed...If you have to listen to Malcy to make an investment decision then you are asking for trouble, IMO. Though he does seem to get CEOs to talk which I guess gives a view point.
