Getting interesting at these prices. However, with the virus situation I'm going to be patient. I'm looking for a 530 ish entrance price.

You have to ask if the Corona virus situation is going to get worse or stabilise. At the moment nobody knows but with Chinese tourism much wider today than during the SARS outbreak in 2003 I would have to expect things to worsen. Obviously with the restrictions put on people movement in China spreading, it must have a negative effect on business generally and whilst the uncertainty grows, I won’t be buying anything at the moment. I feel an opportunity eventually but for me it’s too early yet.

Hong Kong's economy was among the worst hit by SARS in the early 2000s. Now fears are rising over the spread of a new coronavirus-and the city is already in recession.

Very possible but I'm happy enough with this entry price, probably add if it falls further.

Been waiting to get in hopefully sub 550, but the graph looks awful for these, plus world economy slowing down fast, more bad debts, but jewell is asia. UK and Europe a waste of time for Hsbc, a drag, too much regulation and having their profits legislated away from them like the uk energy companies. US not great for Hsbc either with falling rates, HK problems not withstanding they should have relocated their HQ there, would have given shares 30/40 pc boost. Wonder if a bit of a dividend trap tho like so much of the ftse 100, still below where is was 21 years ago thanks to brexit sxxtshow.
