However, the cost blowout has knocked investor confidence in the nickel sector at a time of concern about a structural glut due to a supply surge in Indonesia.BHP, the world's largest nickel producer, booked a $3.5bn writedown on its Nickel West operation in Australia last week.It also reiterated on Tuesday that it believed the metal, also used in EV batteries, was at risk of being oversupplied for the rest of the decade.

I forget what the NPV of this is. Any ideas ? If the Nickel in the ground runs into multi billions of USD then surely some large miming company will snap it up.
I think it was a couple of billion if all mines included.
So maybe a large miner would pay 100m for it

The problem is even more trust has now been lost in anything that the previous board did.
——-

always been a defender of the previous board and still doesnt get it, assumes because there is nickel in the ground all investors will be treated reasonably, to his credit he has posted he is holding currently….

going down with the ship then

Half a billion is nothing look at that open AI guy saying he needs 7 trillion to further AI.All HZM need to do is change there name to Horizonte minerals AI and they will raise double the amount needed folllwing a scam listing on the Nasdaq and some Pelosi calls

They can't do that and would only be diluting themselves, and a lot more than our percentage. Remember they are currently shareholders. Asset value is massive and cut out the noi satin it's worthless, just rubbish talk, You always get some in and you'll get ones who are out. 3.5p is a steal no doubt about it and it's offering it you on a plate. I have my bit of the pie , take yours. Atb

HZM need half a billion dollars.
A loan is out of the question, so our partners will print themselves some cheap shares to squeeze us little people out.
I expect they'll issue billions of shares for 0.50p each to fund this, and take the lions share of equity.

Capex costs up 87%
The company are over a barrel.
I'm not buying this even at 3p because costs are still rising and nickel prices are falling.

yes, when you flip from one extreme to the other in short spaces of time for no apparent reason and try to encourage others to follow you out of fear or greed

You have to wonder whether these companies are set up knowing they will fail, leaving big pockets to snap up shareholder assets for a song after a lot of the admin/licensing and assessment of a project has been paid for by shareholders.

It will be developed....the question is will there be anything for shareholders other than a major company who ends up with the asset.

It does seem sometimes these things are by design with Directors having well paid jobs, pensions etc. but with the end game always going to be elsewhere.
