Fantastic news, the team have done a great job getting it over the line.
This is now a fully marketable project with a clear route to production, one would imagine any interested parties will show their hands in the near future.

With 144,882 tonnes on-warrant, deliverable nickel stocks are at their lowest level since April 2014, while LME data on January 10 showed three warrant holding positions in overall stocks, the tom/next position and cash holdings each at 40-49% of LME inventory.

Personal view is, the price is being held in a trading range awaiting licence. This follows the FS outcome when the price was collapsed with 67m shares traded on the day without a TR1 from then until now.
My own theory on the price is an interested party is at play. IMHO.

Hi andria152 the e-golf is an electric version of the existing mark 7 petrol and diesel model. The ID is an EV designed from scratch due out in 2020. VW aren't calling it a golf. Price and range are promised from circa £23k and over 200 miles. VW have been slow to get into the EV market and the e-golf was an expensive conversion stopgap.

Metals from these batteries will also be recycled , albeit not 100% of the original constituents as far as I have read We are not going to run out of these metals anytime soon and by then new technologies will have evolved

I was espousing the merits of the new VW Golf All-Electric car on this BB recently, until I had a look into it. The range is only 145 miles, in the real world and the car costs £33k. That is no good at all , in the real world - pathetic in fact - so a lot of development in Batteries and range required before these become everyday cars.

They only people who have REALLY got it right are TESLA, who have a range of over 300 miles from a single charge on the TESLA S, BUT that car costs £120k, and in one year it is only worth £55k (I know as I just bought a Used ONE). Those are still pretty unacceptable economics, so the industry (and the EV Metals mining industry) , still have a long way to go before these are regular cars. (Ditto Self Drive).

And who knows if Nickel and Cobalt WILL be the ultimate solution for battery life problems ? And if they are, wot happens when all of the Nickel & Cobalt in the World is mined-out ? Plus, where duz all the electricity come from ? They aren't really sustainable, or green, cars at all, are they ? They are just being marketed that way.

Could be a breakout of the doldrums for Nickel, something positive from US/China in coming weeks would also provide a boost. Trump needs a result for his popularity so I reckon it will come.
Down on sales volume of 250k, just games from mm's.
