30/10/2017 13:12 | Quite possibly salmonn1. As maverick247 says, it's the only realistic nickel play in terms of grades and timing on AIM. If people want quality nickel exposure in an AIM small cap, they're likely to end up with HZM. And so as nickel gets more coverage, so too should HZM. LME week could be the catalyst for that. | x54v
30/10/2017 13:07 | Yes x54v, HZM has made it on to the radar of motleyfool's site. Maybe IC and Shares soon? | salmonn1
30/10/2017 13:00 | Think we will see an explosion in the nickel price soon HZM the only realistic nickel play in terms of grades and timing on AIMSimple as that | maverick247
30/10/2017 12:55 | Nickel likely to take centre stage at LME Week according to the FT. HZM could well start to appear on more radars. | x54v
30/10/2017 12:34 | Hopefully so. Large volume today as well. | x54v
30/10/2017 12:16 | Looks like we're going in the right direction again ? | johncb
30/10/2017 12:16 | Overhang finally cleared? | x54v
30/10/2017 10:44 | NICKEL: Goldman Sachs upped its nickel forecasts to $12,500 in three months and $12,000 in six months, from $9,000 for both forecasts, citing a "supportive macroeconomic backdrop and market tightening driven by Chinese nickel pig iron (NPI) cuts in Shandong province during the winter heating season." | jedi k
30/10/2017 10:03 | GiantPeach2, you actually still have to pay Stamp Duty on shares in an ISA - tax exemption applies to Capital Gains tax and Income tax for higher rate tax payers on dividends. My broker (Hargreaves Lansdown) are contacting Computershare on my behalf, they are the registrars for HZM. I have also contacted Horizonte directly and Euroclear to see if I can get any further information. Will let you know what comes from it. | pipersand
27/10/2017 17:18 | I was told by tdw it was the tsx listing. | biker6

27/10/2017 15:58 | Put it in a isa!!! | giantpeach2
27/10/2017 13:05 | Yes I paid stamp duty also !! | johncb
27/10/2017 11:30 | HZM is an AIM stock and according to stamp duty tax rules should be exempt from tax. However my stockbroker is charging stamp duty, is anyone else experiencing the same? My stockbroker have advised it is due to the way CREST handle the settlement on these shares and they are investigating it. Be interested to hear others views. | pipersand
27/10/2017 09:30 | jb much appreciated for filling my gaps before deal with Teck when I became really interested. Twigs3 Think DNI ran into problems and hit the buffers but not certain. At one time it was going to be lowest cost process around but with high Capex | raymund
26/10/2017 22:24 | If you look here and read the DNI process you can see teck was involved with this company in 2008 not sure if they are still going? hxxp://www.directnic | twigs3
26/10/2017 21:17 | Here you go Raymund, I am bloody good at this :-)Brief Exploration HistoryHZM commenced exploration in the area in 2006 with regional stream sediment sampling which resulted in the discovery of seven nickel targets, with initial licences known as the Lontra Project. From 2006 to 2008, Teck undertook five stages of exploration at Araguaia including airborne geophysics and drilling. Joint venture work with Falconbridge also resulted in the discovery of mineralisation between the Teck and Lontra discoveries. In July 2010, HZM entered into an agreement with Teck to acquire Teck Cominco Brasil, which owned Teck's Araguaia project, which resulted in the merger of the Lontra and Araguaia projects. GAP's history is similar with initial exploration commencing in 2003 by Falconbridge, which later become Xstrata, and subsequently Glencore. | jailbird
26/10/2017 20:31 | Atmospheric heap leaching to produce Nickel Hydroxide is the most likely process. But it sounds dirty and technically unpredictable. Obviously I'm no expert but it clearly needs expert assessment re feasibility. | salmonn1
26/10/2017 19:53 | Just reading heading with all historical on Au etc but wonder what this about, just curious to see who knows! Nickel Projects Lontra - superb Lateritic Nickel discovery by HZM. Excellent grades from initial drilling and recent metallurgical testing (just announced 26.11.09) shown the resource can be processed using low cost heap leaching. HZM now moving to infill drill to generate a JORC resource next quarter.Hugely exciting project where, in September 2008, MD quoted that Lontra, if drilling proved successful could be conservatively worth $60million to HZM. That equates to 65p per share against a current share price of just 7p. Tucuma - Nickel Sulphide discovery being fast tracked for drilling in 2010. | raymund

26/10/2017 14:22 | 2017 will go down as the year when sentiment around the coming electric vehicle revolution radically shifted. Sure, the release of Tesla's mass market Model 3 probably had something to do with it. But it isn't just Tesla. Everyone - government forecasters, investment banks, oil market analysts, even oil companies themselves - have dramatically revised up their expectations for EVs. Companies with interest include: Sociedad Química y Minera de Chile S.A. (NYSE: SQM), Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F), AeroVironment, Inc. (NASDAQ: AVAV), Vale S.A. (NYSE: VALE), FMC Corporation (NYSE:FMC) The transformation is only recent, but it is momentous. Even some of the most hard-nosed skeptics are starting to believe. Dig through any research report on the topic from this year, and the projections are astounding. Just to take a recent one from Barclays - EVs could erase 3.5 million barrels of oil demand by 2025, and 9 mb/d by 2040. That means that in less than 25 years, EVs could go from a rounding error to capturing a third of the global auto market. And that isn't even the most bullish scenario - other analysts see much more dramatic upheaval in energy markets in the not-too-distant future. How is an investor supposed to play this energy revolution? Here are five different avenues that one could pursue: | twigs3
26/10/2017 12:02 | Assorted mutterings. Over the last few days I have seen a lot here & there about ev. A bus that does 1200miles. Filling up for vehicles in 6 mins. Also the discussion on CNBC from the Saudi conference. They are still oilers in 2040 & consider 3/4 of all cars still oil based, but they want into any new tech. I think EV will be bigger than that before 2040 from what I have seen. You cannot argue with only 28 moving parts. | haydock
26/10/2017 11:54 | jb, thanks, very educational and encouraging! New Nissan Leaf just announced now taking range nicely above 200 miles, see hxxps://www.nissan.c | raymund |
