03/8/2004 15:16 | rivaldo - lol! Curse that spread and these dodgy markets! (NB: I'm a lurker on your FDP thread, so you're not alone on there! ;) | mad4it
03/8/2004 15:11 | Mctmct, I assume your trade will show up later - funny that just as you post another buy also shows up (2k at 100.75p). Just like buses, nowt happens for ages and then two turn up at once...go on mad4it, you know you want to! | rivaldo
03/8/2004 14:46 | Very attractive company at these prices, forward p/e of about 7 for next year, (unless anyone thinks differently ?) but that spread is a nightmare. If market conditions were better I'd take a chance, but I just can't bring myself to press the buy button atm. Good luck folks. | mad4it
03/8/2004 14:35 | That was quickly spotted. Yes, I just bough 10K at 100p. They look absurdly cheap. | mctmct
03/8/2004 14:32 | Hmmm, a little tick up with no trades - I assume a delayed trade to come. On a current year P/E of just 8.8, with tremendous growth and with that yield the price does look a bit ridiculous. Does anyone have any clues as to what Mr Weinreich wants to happen with this company and his 49.5% shareholding long-term? | rivaldo
31/7/2004 11:08 | Here are the forecasts for this and next year as they now appear on HS - and they're a touch better than the ones you were given rivaldo, which seem to be rounded down figures. Rowan Dartington 28-07-04 BUY 0.80 12.61 4.50 1.00 15.68 4.50 These kind of numbers certainly help make this look one of the best buys on the AIM at present. | penpont
30/7/2004 22:50 | Hupper - I agree that HDT may not move much until the interims results, but I am staying in cause it is a solid stock and the spread is 10%, and with dealing cost and S.D. that is 12.5% loss straight away. | guru11
30/7/2004 16:24 | I'm out of this (again) and back into CSR , I'd of thought there would have been a bit more positive action around results. I can't see it doing anything until the interims come up. | hupper
30/7/2004 16:13 | Perhaps the IC comment has sparked this buying frenzy. 146 shares bought at 99.9p. I think this may have cleared out the MMs. | hugepants
30/7/2004 16:10 | It was mentioned in the IC, but not as a tip, just in the small company section where one has 25 per page. But the comment was encourging. By the way what is the yield, I haven't look at that. | guru11
30/7/2004 12:38 | So no mention in the IC then?! | rivaldo
29/7/2004 09:17 | MC, no - he just said that they were in the public domain so he could give me them (they don't show up yet on my research sites either yet). I think HDT need to shout about themselves a bit more - maybe an IC mention tomorrow about the results? | rivaldo
29/7/2004 08:26 | rivaldo, thanks. Did they say when these forecasts were going to be published ?(still showing 10.15/12.55 EPS in my normal source of info) | miss chief
28/7/2004 17:37 | FYI I spoke to the Rowan Dartington analyst for HDT. The new forecasts are: Y/E 30/11/04 - Sales £16.4m, PTP £0.8m, EPS 12p Y/E 30/11/05 - Sales £18m, PTP £1m, EPS 15p So HDT is on a current year P/E of 7.9 and a forward P/E of 6.3, with a great divi yield and asset backing too. Hmmm.... | rivaldo
23/7/2004 21:01 | Glad to see advfn.com removing the rubbish / advertising from their boards. Good on advfn.com. I am into HDT, looks like a good buy to me. Will hold long term. Solid stock. | guru11
22/7/2004 21:59 | And Widney is valued at three times HDT...! | mitzis

22/7/2004 21:53 | Agreed bp, but some of my stocks did perform today (SPD, MPH for example) based on individual circumstances for those stocks. So following HDT's excellent results I hoped for a bit more follow-through than one day's worth! Still, the US market finished positively today so maybe you're right and there'll be buyers around tomorrow. Interesting to know whether Rowan Dartington have increased their forecasts yet. | rivaldo
22/7/2004 14:27 | Rivaldo - poor day for markets. No buyers around. Even ASC is down! Oil stocks hit badly even though results certain to be good. | barnetpeter
22/7/2004 14:24 | BP, thanks from me too. Not overly forthcoming! But I'd be worried if she'd said much more...I'll try to find out more about Topgrow myself. I'm amazed on all fronts this hasn't attracted more attention - cheap P/E, top NAV, excellent divi yield, growth prospects etc etc....what more do people want? One mention in a tipsheet or the IC and this'll be up 10p in a flash. | rivaldo
21/7/2004 22:09 | bp - Thanks. All I can find out about Topgrow is that they are involved in the sale materials for the PCB industry in Hong Kong and mainland China. | miss chief
21/7/2004 20:49 | As I promised: First of all, congrats on the excellent news today. We were all very nervous yesterday after the share price fell by 20% that "bad news" was likely today. Not a chance! May I ask for clarification and comments please? 1 The volatile price and crazy spread is caused by the fact that only one market maker makes a market. Holders is now a potential million pound profit company and surely your broker can do better than that? 2 Will the balance of the monies from the property sale be included in the full year EPS figure? Will the company use it for acqusitions over and above China or return the cash as a special dividend? 3 The Chinese investment. Where can I find out more please? 4 The CEO holds a lot of the company. Is he considering a large placement with institutions to improve liquidity? (see also 6). 5 Does Holders have other property or assets that are undervalued in the same way? 6 How can the smaller shareholders like myself (I hold 30,000) convince Holders to take a higher profile, issue regular updates etc? The company is clearly way undervalued at approx half of the sector average. After such progress it deserves to atract a lot more interest by longer term institutional investors and other supportive private investors. ==================== 1 It is possible that another market maker may be interested in trading our shares if the volume of transactions increases, but the normal volume of trading in our shares is quite low. 2 The interim results included a profit of £42,000 from the sale of the properties, which is included in the interim results EPS of 6.23p per share. The company has not disclosed any plans for the use of the cash proceeds. 3 The Hong Kong investment will be the subject of a further announcement in due course. 4 There has been no change in the CEO's shareholding. 5 Holders does not own any other freehold properties. The remaining fixed assets are largely plant and machinery. 6 We believe that the value of the company is primarily determined by its results. The management is fully focused on delivering results . We are grateful for the support of our shareholders and it is our policy to bring material news to the attention of shareholders when it occurs. Best regards. 21/7/2004 16:00 | Wonder if HDT will get mentioned in this week's IC - results were out pre print deadline. It can only be good news for a relatively illiquid company like this, as any reports can surely only be extremely positive. | rivaldo
21/7/2004 12:20 | 2 lots of 10k bought at 1p over the ask. Nice | wal footrot
21/7/2004 08:44 | From today's UK-Analyst market summary e-mail: "Holders Technology, a provider of specialist materials for electronics companies, announced that at the half year stage, sales were 16% ahead and that as a result it had turned a loss of 71,000 pounds into a profit of 421,000 pounds. Net debt was almost eliminated and net assets reached 4.4 million pounds. The company is paying a 2p dividend and even after gaining 16.5p to 99p it is still valued at an (undemanding) 3.4 million pounds." | rivaldo |
