21/7/2004 07:40 | if it was weinrich some has already bought 50K of it so it would not take long for mm to be short again another 10p gain today or more once people upgrade EPS etimates | nissi beach
20/7/2004 22:14 | The 100K trade today represents 2.5% of the company so I think we're quite likely to see an RNS. There are only 4 holders with 3% or more. My bet is Weinrich is selling some of his shares into the increased liquidity today. He owns 50%. | hugepants
20/7/2004 18:34 | well, I'm obviously very happy today in sharp contrast to yesterday. I have never seen any markdown like yesterday's in percentage terms before in the stocks i've followed in the past unless it has been prior to some very disappointing results. It's something to remember in the future as far as this stock is concerned and just remember to keep focussed on fundamentals and trading prospects. So far things look pretty ok on both scores you have to say, and if they can keep on making a decent profit, generating cash, and paying out an at-least-maintained divi, then the stock still looks pretty good value for the medium term. I will expect volatility at times but at least after today MY balance sheet has improved too and the disillusionment of yesterday thoroughly dissipated as I had been preparting myself for a total calamity. I'm glad I haven't got many like these..time for a drink I think! | stan
20/7/2004 18:14 | Miss - yes that had occurred to me. The fact that the CEO owns so much stock is perhaps one reason why they pay such a handy divi. They were paying 7.5p per year and this exra cash will wipe out debt, pay for the China investment and still leave enough to pay around 10p. Things look a little better than yesterday folks! | barnetpeter
20/7/2004 18:03 | barnetpeter - I'd be interested to know if there's any possiblity of a special dividend resulting from the property windfall. Is this the sort of information they would be able to divulge ? | miss chief
20/7/2004 17:53 | Little low Master imo. It depends on how they treat the property windfall of course. I will write to the cmpany tonight with a few follow-up queries and let you know the response. | barnetpeter
20/7/2004 16:31 | this one looks v good to me... will look over tonight..now with alittle free time... | safman
20/7/2004 16:28 | Here is my forecast for the company this YEAR Done it in the space of 15 minutes early this morning and still half sleepBut it sounds OK to me.Now done it in the table for future reference Master RSIPROFITS EPS DIVIDEND HDT forecast 04 0.910 M 13.50p 4.75p | master rsi
20/7/2004 16:28 | Large T trade just gone through. Make that very large. Over 2% of the company. | miss chief
20/7/2004 16:08 | How do you find out how much property they own, its never crossed my mind until now. I'm wondering if the asset value is very conservative because its been nearly the same since I bought in four years ago. ?? | hupper
20/7/2004 15:27 | Broker's forecast was for 10.19p EPS this year (4.5p divi) and 12.55p EPS next year (4.5p divi). Looks like HDT will achieve next year's forecast or thereabouts this year - must be upgrades to come. | rivaldo
20/7/2004 15:19 | now motoring 95-103p +16.5p         | master rsi
20/7/2004 14:52 | Up on the offer again and now 90-100p with both MMs at the same price | master rsi
20/7/2004 14:00 | 14p EPS and a peg of less than 1...I'm impressed. | mitzis
20/7/2004 13:49 | I also have to say that the CEO has got this right at every stage. Talk about cautious! So when he stated: "Outlook Provided that we do not experience more serious supply shortages than those which we encountered in the first half, we expect to maintain the improved sales performance in the second half with the benefit of the lower cost base being maintained". It means exactly what it says on the can! 14p EPS is my suggestion with the property cash available to buy bargains as and when they arise. Unfortunately, newsflow is limited and slow and we have a long term now until the finals in March next year. | barnetpeter
20/7/2004 13:43 | It always was cheap but so many are in this market. Strange thing; my broker told me the mm was beseiged by folk trying to sell out yesterday, who were turned away. So the mm's do not always know as much as we think. Bet they feel silly today (actually I do as well, for reading so much into yesterdays fall on low vol). | barnetpeter
20/7/2004 13:41 | Turnover for the full year should be $17/18 mills and profit at least 850k and could be £1 mills as the 2nd half is always better...and there is no pension provision. | mitzis
20/7/2004 13:36 | glancing through.. this is def a buy..capped at under 3 mill , T/O 14 mill + , profitable to the tune of just under 500K... have not had time to look at further prospects over the coming yr.. but certainly looks cheap.. | safman
20/7/2004 13:36 | trade 17 5K at 91.8p is a buy | nissi beach
20/7/2004 13:34 | YES KBC the MM up the offer to 98p | master rsi
20/7/2004 13:31 | movement!!! are we moving now | nissi beach
20/7/2004 12:50 | Add in very strong cash flow for next 6 months (550K from properties alone - I assume included in debtors?) and good growth prospects. There is also no company pension scheme so no potential problems there. .However ESR and HNN have similar fundies and are similarly undervalued IMO. I think the illiquidity puts off buyers a tad. | hugepants
20/7/2004 12:46 | Surprised at the lack of attention/volume here. Even taking away the small profit on property disposals, 12p EPS still looks likely for this year for a current P/E of around 8, with a substantial divi on top and decent asset backing. Perhaps a bit of press tomorrow will grab people's attention. | rivaldo
20/7/2004 10:58 | Very calm over here as the shares stucked at 93.5p Today's Leaders and Laggards LEADERS Holders Technology, which gained 13.3% to 93.5p after it said it swung to a pretax profit in the six months to end May 2004 as sales grew 16%. Pretax profits came in at £421,000 from a loss of £71,000 in the same period a year ago. An improvement in gross margins and continuing cost cutting helped the company move into a profit. There is at the end of the | master rsi
20/7/2004 08:54 | Fundamentals seems to be very good to me. Full year eps of 12p if the second half equals the first half for a pe of just above 8. Must be worth a look. | guru11 |
