03/12/2013 16:32 | If you are a leaseholder and the freeholder has a policy which you contribute to then you are probably a policyholder as well. You then have to pay the excess. That was the case with my leasehold flat which was water damaged from the flat above, the landlord is the council. I had to pay the excess. I could of course try and recoup the money from the tenant above me or the council. If the person below you is asking you to pay the excess, ask to see the total repair bill and what the insurance company paid out and only pay the excess if the bill was more then the pay out. | slopsjon2
03/12/2013 16:17 | Offtopic - re excess on insurance If you have a BTL flat and water leaks downstairs ,no damage in my flat, downstairs claim under the common block policy, do i have to pay their excess? Or should the policyholder (landlord) pay? | albanyvillas
25/11/2013 19:47 | Tipped in Growth Company Investor today | graham1ty
12/11/2013 11:43 | Added this to my Eezymunny portfolio today. A few thoughts here | eezymunny
12/11/2013 11:24 | Thought that the results were very good, even slightly better. Shares have had a good run so not surprised that they are retracing. Hopefully that will allow me to top-up my holding at a lower price. ;-) | cfro
12/11/2013 08:45 | Good boring, under the radar growth. have been worried about organic ( as opposed to bought in) growth but they seem to be winning clients to existing offices. Good. Will see what happens to the forecast but do hope it creeps up | graham1ty
12/11/2013 08:38 | As we thought they seem to be well ahead of forecasts. I reckon they will do next year's forecast of £1.5m adj pbt this year. I note that the eps figure includes a charge for amortisation of intangibles and would be a good bit higher if they adjusted that out. Just about no other company does that. Gloriously understated and very comforting! Still looks good value to me.. | britishb
05/11/2013 14:19 | Just out of interest....anyone know why these have nearly doubled ? Assume there is a single buyer out there as the volumes have been very small. Not aware of any tip anywhere ? No change to forecasts and FinCap's target price was 30p...... | graham1ty
04/11/2013 20:24 | Thanks, Graham! | saucepan
04/11/2013 20:04 | Ok saucepan. Not all is written for public eyes ( I comment on the management, though they can look it up like anyone else....)Will email it. | graham1ty

04/11/2013 10:24 | Interims were 13/11 last year and before that 31/10, 16/11, 12/11. So half year numbers should be imminent, non? Yes, I'd hope for an uplift to forecasts with the recent acquisitions. 3.5p next year gives a P/E of c.10. As I pointed out months ago (b4 the share price doubled ;) BLV on a next year P/E of 15. Somewhat diff businesses etc but still plenty to go for before rating becomes even remotely racey... And as I've said a few times, revenue at HMLH has increased every year since 2004. Look through your portfolio and see how many have managed that! It arguably deserves a premium rating (but Mr Market will decide and not me!) | britishb
04/11/2013 10:22 | I joined you this morning as I only noticed this company on Friday evening. Not sure how I've missed it before as track record looks very good. Only a tiny company though. Nice quiet board too! | jamielein
04/11/2013 10:00 | I bought in on Friday after the acquisition news. Second one in a month. Great little company that is on a cheap rating and operating in the right sector of property. | cfro
04/11/2013 09:41 | They will get some costs saings, but actually get rid of very few people after each acquisition. Block owners like the personal contact with "their" person. HMLH say that most of the upside is from selling more product into each block ( insurance, security etc) and from buying those products better ( ie insurance) than small mom-and-pop businesses. FinCap have been on 2.6p since June. The two acquisitions add 1900 units ( 400 in London) so another 5% on to HMLH total. The £400,000+ of revenue adds c3% only. I would hope that the forecast would creep up to 3p for this year and 3.5p for next. We will have to wait another month for the interims and a trading statement. This share price rise is on very little volume. I wonder if it just one buyer ? The Board told me that they thought the shareprice was 70% below where it should be at 20p. Disapponting that this rise therefore not driven by Director buying | graham1ty
01/11/2013 23:06 | HML have an efficient platform. There would be integration costs for these acquisitions in the short term. In the medium term EPS & operating cashflow should scale up nicely. | russman
31/10/2013 14:54 | Underresearched, off-the-radar company doing very well, quietly with no fanfare. Eps due to grow at 53% then 20% ( with no upgrades yet after the last acquisition so growing well. 12x p/e for the year to March ( so already 7 months completed) which probably gives a little more scope for a higher share price....though not much more. If interested I wrote a two page summary of the AGM available on the ShareSoc website | graham1ty
30/10/2013 17:37 | what a month | 11023154
