wipo1, I could be wrong (and probably am) but this is identical to other takeover bids I've seen whilst watching streaming prices.

Tip sheets encourage buying, but not such a drastic price increase.

See what you mean susier, tons of unusual buying, 10k buys at 129p going through + other small trades. Something going on?

This looks very much like takeover stuff to me (I'm not a ramper), just recognise the same pattern as the day Marks & Spencers took off, and also Sainsburys. Price has risen rapidly in the past 20 minutes chased by buying.

Nice one Anth21,

Think it will really perform in 2005, with steel prices easing off.

Great CASH GENERATOR and a good divi. just cant keep it down.

Tipped in the Independent On Sunday, as one of its 'shares for 2005'.

Arbuthnot still putting out "undervalued" notes after recent rise. I bought this stock a little while ago on the Arbuthnot note saying it was seriously undervalued following the Lionweld Kennedy acquisition. From my research, steel prices look to have reached their peak and demand will reduce in 2005, all in the right direction for HILS.

Wipo1,

Think will make more than £ 11.3m ,looking for £ 13m for the full year. The
best thing is how they are controlling and paring down the gearing.

Hi HVS,

What do you think of the current trading update, still looking undervalued, with profits of at LEAST £11.3 million, next year depends on steel prices.

Hi Hvs,

Yeah just going to leave this one tucked away, a little bit of profit taking recently, but now looks like it will slowly resume upwards, a nice bottom drawer stock that pays a good dividend!

If you think the company is worth nearer 100mn, that would be the equivalent of a 160 share price

Yeah some interesting buying going on, I would think this company is worth nearer 100 million market cap, so about 130-140p would be a fairer price I think. Time will tell!
