14/7/2003 16:47 | looks like robbie burns is having his usual effect on the small caps. He bought today and reckons it will double. Considering his track record it probably will. | idioterna
14/7/2003 15:19 | Its rock and roll time , lets party , anyone up for a nice get to gether ? | hvs

14/7/2003 10:19 | Good Morning shisky, Its not just road programme. Its HILS value finally being recognised. They will be in £ 1.50-£ 2.00 range in 12 months time. | hvs
14/7/2003 09:53 | WirralOwl, since you've been on holiday ... 'the Gov going back to the old road building programmes must have encouraged some interest'.... Road building (or rather lane extensions) are back in vogue after the Government did a U-turn on its policy of improving alternative transport rather than investing in new roads/extensions. Last week the Gov promised a series of lane extension programmes. | shuisky
14/7/2003 09:04 | Good Morning Wirral, Its playing catch up , think value being recongnised at last.Looks like the next result is going beat all expectations. | hvs
14/7/2003 08:56 | Hi hvs - I agree what a gem ! It was 88.5p when I went away on holiday last week, makes being back at work bearable this morning ! Any news / tips that caused the latest rise, or is it just playing catch up ? | wirralowl
14/7/2003 08:48 | Crossing the £ level today and still more to come. what a little gem to have. | hvs
11/7/2003 16:42 | Very very nice 5p uptick today and a lot more to come. Dont miss out now. | hvs
11/7/2003 15:59 | Not everyone has the time or knowldege . Its unfortunate that those who have the time and hopefully the knowledge and are paid to look after investros funds do exactly the opposite. If anyone is interested have a look at CAR another surefire winner . | hvs
11/7/2003 15:49 | The recent announcement on the Gov going back to the old road building programmes must have encouraged some interest. Agree totally with hvs, its far too cheap. Its exactly the sort of neglected stock that small retail investors can get an edge on the city by buying. Perhaps, investors just look at the headline PE without delving deeper? | shuisky
11/7/2003 11:16 | Hello Wirral and Washbrook, Welcome on board . I like this share very much not the biggest holding I have but have put a few away. I dont understand city types at all .This share is overdue a re-rating. EPS can easily be 12p+ this year and cash flow of upto £ 20 mill plus. Its too cheap and little wonder its now rising nicely. No stock about. | hvs
01/7/2003 11:43 | Tempted to buy this stock. Caledonia,Close and Rights & Issues IT all holders all very shrewd investors. | washbrook
01/7/2003 08:58 | Hi hvs, Didn't realise this thread existed until today ! Had the other one in my favourites list, and wondered why no one was bothered about hils anymore ! Agree with all your sentiments, on historical PE this is still on a miserly rating of under 8, pays a dividend of over 6% (at the price I got them at) and its prospects going forward are excellent. This is my largest holding, and with the Govt. keen on increasing spending in road safety, the future should be bright. The lamp-post business acquired last year though, could be the jewel in the crown, with two-thirds of lamp-posts due for renewal in the next decade, and hils now dominate in this market. Re-read the last results a week or so ago, and the management really do seem to be doing a good job. | wirralowl
30/6/2003 20:26 | Another nice uptick today .Its going to break out anytime soon. A rerating is way overdue. | hvs
26/6/2003 20:39 | Moving up very nicely again. very little stock about , a rerating is overdue and when it happens this will fly. EPS of 12-13p and didvi of 5p , not bad at all. | hvs

05/6/2003 18:33 | Another nice move up today, building up to new highs now. | hvs
